Visenya opened her chamber door with shaky hands, yet her coughs did not leave her alone.
Visenya kept coughing as she sat on her bed and gently laid on her bed, and closed her eyes as she took a deep breath, calming her heart.
Just a rest... Then I'll go back to my family. She thought to herself, as she thought of going to the nursery to watch Valarr and Visenya's peaceful sleep...
Soft and sneaky footsteps filled the room, but yet she thought her mind was playing a prank on her old mind.
But the footsteps were around her... As if someone was sneaking around, but purposefully trying to make sounds.
"Aerea... Come out." Visenya said calmly with her eyes closed slightly amused.
But the footsteps kept sneaking around, not heeding Visenya's words.
"Aerea..." Visenya said slowly with a bit of annoyance as she gently turned in her bed... But her shoulder which was paining and bothering her since she had aged, did not hurt... at all.
"I'm not Aerea." A soft playful voice spoke as the footsteps softly kept sneaking around.
She knew that voice... But it could not be.
Visenya opened her eyes and got off the bed. She didn't feel the pain in her chest anymore, and she was quicker than she realized... As if her old bones had forgotten that she no longer was young... But yet there was no pain.
She ran her trembling hand on her sweaty forehead
"Who's there?" Visenya asked firmly as she looked around as her eyes scanned the room, prepared to fight with her empty hands, but yet the soft and hidden footsteps did not stop.
They only became louder...
She knew those footsteps... Footsteps that she had heard here in Dragonstone in a different lifetime... When she was young... before she had mounted Vhagar... Seventy years ago...
And footsteps approached her from behind... and it became an embrace from behind... as the slender hands were wrapped around her waist, and a soft body was pressed to her back...
"Got you, Visenya." The soft voice whispered... and Visenya's heart exploded in her chest as she felt tears come to her eyes.
She knew the touch... She knew the scent of her... The shape of her hands that were wrapped around her... The warmth that she had not forgotten... Never.
"Rhaenys?" Visenya whispered.
She felt as her beloved's buried her face in the back of her neck, kissing it affectionately as she always used to do... Kiss the back of her neck, open her braids and wrap her slender arms, to contrast with her own toned arms, beneath her breasts and whisper her name.
"Been so long since I seen your face or felt this in my heart... But here we are... Talking to each other again." Rhaenys whispered softly and kissed the side of Visenya's neck. "My Visenya."
"I missed you..." Visenya whispered as a small tear fell down from Visenya's face as she placed her hand on top of Rhaenys's hands around her waist, and it was then she saw her own hands...
Her hands were as youthful as when she was twenty-nine... Her long braided hair that reached her waist was there once more, falling over her shoulder... How...
"Still a harsh beauty..." Rhaenys whispered and kissed the side of Visenya's neck. "Still my Visenya..."
Visenya turned around and looked upon her beloved... Half of her heart... Her sweet Rhaenys. As beautiful as the day she had seen her last... The day she had promised she'll come back to her... A promise unfulfilled... A promise that left their family broken... Her family. Their family.
