The sky was darker than his raven hair ever was. All Daemion could see was his hands on the handles of his saddle and Modread's head.

Modread could feel Daemion's uneasiness and he was not silent in return as they flew.

"Easy there, old friend. Easy." Daemion said in High Valyrian as he tapped Modread's neck as they kept flying.

The air was thicker than he remembered. As if something was expecting the-

"Pirate Fleet!"

He heard the scream of the quartermaster of Sly's ship. And heard as hundreds of arrows were shot. Some toward Modread, but many more toward Sly's fleet.

Modread spun and flew higher. "Go lower, Modread!" Daemion loudly commanded him in High Valyrian.

And Modread dived toward the sea.

It was then Daemion looked at the fleet and saw them.

They were no pirates.

He knew those fleets.

He knew those ships.

He knew those Catapultss that were placed on the back of every single ship in the fleet.

He knew it for the days he and Amethyst spent by the port... By the fleet of Yi-Ti.

What is the Yi-Tish in Stepstones?! Why would they come here?! None had mentioned the presence of Yi-Tish in Stepstones!

As Daemion's head was filled with questions, he did not see it as a fiery stone that was set on fire toward him and Modread before it was too late...

Modread dodged the fiery stone but a dozen more followed. Daemion turned his head toward where the fiery stones were coming from.

less than a dozen of far larger Catapultss, set on the beaches and hills of Stepstones, aiming not for Sly's sheep and his fleet.

But aiming at Modread.

They were expecting him.

Modread roared and screamed as he got horizontal, but the fire had already damaged the saddle and with Modread getting horizontal...

And Daemion fell from his saddle into the bottom of the heartless sea...

Daemion did not know how long he was unconscious or underwater, but thankfully when he regained his consciousness he was close to the shore.

Daemion cruised to the beach and vomited all the seawater.

The sky was blacker than anything Daemion had seen, only thing that brought light was the fleet of Dornish in the water...

As they were set aflame by Modread.

"Modread!" Daemion yelled.

But Modread had flew toward the fleet, breathing his fiery breath upon on it, as if he wanted to bring the sunrise himself with his own fire as he set the Yi-Tish and Dornish afire.

"Burn them to hell." Daemion panted but yet smiled calmly until he heard footsteps approaching him as rocks were shot around as his uninvited guests came forth, so he turned around with no care and aloofness surrounding him.

Three Yi-Tish men and a Dornish soldier, One with daggers, one with a sword as the Dornish soldier bore a spear.

"We got you, Black Dragon." A Yi-Tish man said with a thick accent as he spoke the common tongue. He was not wearing the golden armour of Amethyst's soldiers but yet he was clearly not a pirate, nor were
