Okay, yinz have permission to beat me up this time, but I swear I've been writing. Just not enough for me to post omfggg 😭 but blame my job because everyone has fucking rocks for brains. Also, I relapsed and had another sexy massage night with my hot coworker, but I've been taking my anxiety supplements so I'm not really into him anymore so you cannot judge meeee 💀💀💀 I'm literally sick of everyone and everything right now but thank god I'm taking a 10 days off starting tomorrow. Hopefully I'll find some time to write. Fingers crossed.
P.S. Wattpad wouldn't let me edit this chapter on my laptop, so if the format looks weird blame the fact that I'm typing on my phone like a pilgrim. Ugh. 😭💀

 [Lake Laogai] - Crystal Catacombs
But you convince Kuvira to join our ranks
Captain Rohai's orders echoed in Shah's head just like Viper's used to. He knew he could convince her, he just didn't know why she didn't want it, why she'd rather rot in a cell then have a hoard of loyal Dai Li agents at her every beck and call. Half of him knew she was running from something. Something he couldn't quite figure out considering how avoidant she was about her feelings, yet the other half of him assumed she was just downright crazy,
Hmph. Well I've never shied away from crazy chicks. He chuckled quietly to himself, But then again– she's one of the most powerful benders in the world. Why in the hell would she give that up?
"Kuvira," he called softly while she snored into his bare chest, completely unfazed when he rolled her onto her back and held her cheek, "Kuvira," he called again, brushing the hair from her face, "Kuvira!" he called louder,
"Hmm? Ugh. What the hell do you want?" she groaned, struggling to keep her eyes open,
"Just making sure you're still with me," Shah grinned, "You hit your head, remember?"
"Ugh. And what about it?" Kuvira snapped back at him,
"Wow, you even bitch at me in your sleep," Shah sighed happily, "Good to know. One would think that concussion of yours would convince you to be a little nicer to me or just nicer in general," he teased,
"Mmph. Shutup Shah," Kuvira mumbled,
"No can do," Shah breathed, "Not just yet. What's the real reason you won't join the Dai Li?" he asked curiously,
"I said shutup," Kuvira yawned,
"Answer my question first,"
"Shah–
"I'll talk the whole night if you don't–
"Ugh. Fine. I'll never see you again if I do," Kuvira blurted before rolling over and hiding her face beneath the blankets,
"Wait...what?" Shah questioned, his smile fading into confusion, but Kuvira was already fast asleep, snoring just as softly as she was earlier.
She–She doesn't mean that? Does she? Shah asked himself, No. There's no way. She was just saying that to shut me up. R-Right?
[Republic City Hopsital] E1 - 10th floor
"There," Siros nodded after tossing his bloody gloves in the trashcan, "Those stitches should hold a little better than the first ones. I was...sort of in a rush last time," he admitted sheepishly,
"Thank Siros," you breathed tiredly, "For everything,"
"Don't mention it," he sighed before turning to Mako, "Well, I guess we should make our way down to the station. Wait–you're not taking me there in handcuffs are you?"
"Hmph. Not unless you give me a reason to," Mako huffed with his arms crossed, "Jay, I'm calling myself a cab. Here's my keys. Take her to my place,"
"What!?" you and Jay questioned in unison,
"I-I'm not going with you?"
"Not this time," Mako answered sternly,
"Not that I have an issue with bumming it on your couch for a few hours, but are you sure that's a good idea?" Jay asked Mako skeptically, "I didn't exactly succeed at keeping her out of harm's way the last time you asked,"
"We were outnumbered. So, technically I can't blame you for that,"
"You most certainly can try–
"Look. She needs rest and I need to lead an interrogation," Mako snapped frustratedly, "So, stop at the pharmacy, get her anxiety medication and then get her to my place. No extra stops,"
"But I-I don't need–
"Yes, you do," Mako argued, cutting you off before you could protest, "I told you both I'm not taking any more chances. Now, until Viper is dead or behind bars, everyone is going to do what they're supposed to. So Jay, you get her to my place and you," Mako breathed as he gripped your moody face, "Take your meds. All of them," he ordered with a grin, "I'll be home in a few hours,"
