(My babes! The semester is overrrrr. OMFG. I almost quit. I almost dropped out of school, changed my name, and moved to the woods, but we prevailed. Took my Spanish final today, didn't even study, and I don't give a damn lmao.
In other news, the goblin is back at it! In secret this time. He apparently woke up the other day and had a dream that I told him to fuck off and leave me alone. Something I'd gladly say to him in person. I know this because my other favorite gossiper came to my desk a few days ago to dish out the hot goss. He apparently called her at like 6:00 in the morning to say:
Well idk what this dream means. IDK where I stand with her🥴🥴
favorite gossiper #2: you're just coworkers bro 😵💫
And the kicker? Apparently, he asked her what my favorite sex positions were, and I'm like SKKRT BACK UP WHEN WAS THIS????? 🤨🤨🤨
THE OTHER DAY.
I—SOMEONE COME COLLECT THIS DELUSIONAL ASS MAN. I beg you. 💀💀💀💀💀💀
Oh yeah. He also said he's gonna TRY to make things work with his new goblinina, and I'm like orrrr he could just break up with her instead of wasting her time, because my favorite gossiper asked if he sees a future with her, and guys....
HE COULD NOT ANSWER. TSK TSK.
Oh well, things with my hot Italian snack are sooooo good. I am not kidding when I say I am in love. I'm just not tellinggggg him yet 😁🥰lmao we're about to place an order for some new spicy toys and the way I fall asleep so fast and sleep so good at his house. I am down badddddd 😫😂😂😂😂
Anyways, sorry this chapter is shorter. I have a seven-page paper due tomorrow, and I didn't even start😭
Post again sooooon. 🩵🩵🩵
[Downtown, Republic City]
"The Courthouse?" Mako questioned, parking a few blocks away from Viper's Cadillac, "Who the hell is on trial?" he hissed softly, hiding his face under his dark hood and marching toward the entrance,
"All rise," the judge ordered the witnesses in the room, right as Mako slipped into the very last row in the back, "The jury calls to the stand Ramirro Kovriq. Please stay standing until the defendant is seated,"
Mako knew Ramirro's face all too well. Weathered—twice as less as Viper's but...even with blurry eyes, they were essentially the same man.
"Please be seated," the judge nodded, "Kovriq, Ramirro," he read carefully, "Hm. Says here, this is your fifth round of appearing before a court of law for the same charge, is that correct?"
"Hmm. Sure it's not the third?" Ramirro chuckled hoarsely,
"No. Mr. Kovriq, I assure you, this is not your third," the judge scolded, narrowing his glasses to his nose,
"Who is this guy?" Shin snapped at Viper beneath his breath,
"New judge. Out of town," Viper answered calmly, his jaw clenched tight in frustration,
"Matter fact," the judge continued, flipping through Ramirro's file, "This is your second one this year. And I bet Judge Merre had a grand time seeing you twice last year,"
"Ah. Well, what can I say, Chief? I had a little money on the Fire Ferrets and they—blew it at the last four seconds, I mean, undefeated all year and—
"My name is not Chief, Mr. Kovriq. My name is Judge Steel," he said, calmer than his earlier commands, his voice warped off the oak wooden walls, "Also, never bet on the Fire Ferrets when the championship is in March," Steel huffed, "They haven't finished thawing out the winter. Now...Kovriq," he inhaled deeply...slowly...silently, "Is that any relation to Viper Kovriq?"
"Not that I know of," Ramirro shrugged, picking his teeth with a fresh toothpick, "Pretty common last name in a city of benders and non-benders alike,"
"Born in the same year though?" Steel squinted,
Ramirro said nothing. Just like he was trained.
"Hmph. Well, seems we'll be getting nowhere from here," Steel sighed unamused, "Bailiff, how long till lunch?" he asked the officer sweetly,
"About...twenty minutes Judge,"
"Perfect timing," Steel chuckled, "And I heard there was soup on the menu,"
"And salad," the Bailiff grinned,
"A two-fer. I think I like that," Steel smiled and sighed with a bigger grin, "Ramirro Kovriq, I'm giving you the maximum sentence possible for a crime as dumb and preventable as this one. Two years! And I'm doubling the fine," he shouted before reigning back his temper, "Five thousand,"
"What!?"
"Hey, no shouting in my courtroom, or...I'll add another year. Bailiff, take him away,"
Ramirro nearly ran, but three officers were already looming behind him, pulling him to his feet as the jury began to rise,
"Oh and, if any other common last names want to vouch for said Ramirro Korviq, just know, his bail is set at $30,000," Judge Steel nodded out onto the crowd, "You ask yourself which fine you'd rather pay,"
[Air Temple Island] - Tenzin's home
"Careful," 93 ordered Tenzin, who carried Shah up to the guest room with his bending,
"I've done this thousands of times. He's in good hands," Tenzin reassured him,
"I'm still being the judge of that," 93 said flatly, sighing in relief when Tenzin finally set Shah in a bed, "Odd,"
"What now?" Tenzin asked softly,
"He's frowning," 93 noted,
"And that's odd?" Tenzin questioned, "Isn't he always in a bad mood?"
"Yes, when he's alert, but he's sedated," 93 reminded Tenzin after checking Shah's pulse,
"Well, the nurse said he'd be down for the day,"
"Yes, down for the day, and yet he can restrict his facial muscles in the time it took us to move him,"
"You think...You think he's fighting it off?"
"I don't think. I know he is,"
