"Drive faster!" Kuvira ordered from the backseat of the cab, "If you don't and my fiancé dies, I'll slaughter you, this cab and everything you love,"
"Uh-uhh,"
"Emotional day," Ivin nodded, "But if you can step on it, that would help us greatly,"

[Air Temple Island] — Tenzin's study

"Ugh. Can we go?" you whined to Tenzin after your fifth glass of lemonade and rummaging through his pantry, "You've had nothing for the past three hours,"
"Fine," Tenzin sighed, shutting his 24th book of the evening, "I'll just bring...this. And this," he stood, packing books into his left arm, "And this one too,"
"Bring whatever, I'm calling a damn cab,"

[Republic City Center Train Station] — 1 mile below ground

"Mmph. What the hell are you doing?" Shah asked after Jay's chain rattled for the twentieth time,
"There's oil over here," Jay coughed, reaching as far as his right arm could take him,
"There's oil everywhere," Shah scoffed sourly, "We're underneath a goddamn train station. All this metal needs oil,"
"Exactly," Jay seethed, coating his fingers in as much it as possible, "I can—ugh. Slip out of here, if I just—
"Hey, hey! You're hurt enough as is. Don't—
"Got it!" Jay panted, ripping his wrist free,
"Holy shit, Training Wheels," Shah breathed, "Check him. Now!"
"Already on it," Jay rushed to Mako's side, pressing his ear to Mako's chest, "He's breathing. Faintly," he nodded, snapping into CPR procedures like he was trained, "C'mon Mako. You die down here I'm taking a shit right on your grave,"

18th & Main

"There, there!" Kuvira pointed, slipping out of the cab before the driver had a chance to come to a full stop,
"A tip. On us," Ivin grinned, shoving a fist full of yuans in the driver's hands before racing after her, "Hold it. Hold it," he begged, snatching Kuvira's wrist to keep her focused,
"I'm!—
"Just hold on," Ivin pleaded once more, "We can find him, but not while you're panicking. 93 needs to be able to listen,"
"Listen!? Shah is—
"Underground," Ivin reminded her, holding Kuvira still by the shoulders,
"Thanks for waiting," 93 nodded after catching up,
"Anytime," Ivin breathed, "What do you need?"
"For that train to pass. I can't hear them with all this commotion," 93 nodded, ignoring the crowd shuffling in and out of the station,

1 mile below ground

"C'mon Mako," Jay pressed even harder into Mako's chest, listening to his breathing every few minutes, "You leave her behind and I'm setting her up with Bolin,"
"Fuck!" Mako finally choked, barely holding back an onslaught of violent coughs, "Mmph. You really think she's Bolin's type?"
"Please, she barely likes you most days," Jay chuckled,
"Nice to have you back, Dipshit,"
"Nice to—ahh. God. Are we—Are we back in the city?"
"Central Station," Shah answered, "93's on his way. But he needs to find us. Your signal still working?"
"Uhh. Somewhat," Mako winced, "The blood is—
"Don't touch that," Jay ordered, "Don't try to stand either,"
"Fine, but I want out of these chains," Mako coughed again, lifting his arm to burn the metal only to writhe in pain,
"Mako!"
"Damn. I think—I think my arm's broken,"
"Hmph. Join the club," Shah sighed, "Lucky for you, I don't need you to be useful right now. I need you to stay the hell alive,"
"God, I'm gonna fucking kill Viper," Mako winced, holding his arm in sheer pain,
"You and me both," Shah agreed, "But put a pin in that until you see a damn doctor. Training Wheels, stay with him, but my earpiece. 93 should be close,"
"Ugh. I don't know which one of you looks worse," Jay panted, rushing to Shah's side,
"I'm...Damn it. Figure that out later," Shah ordered weakly, "Talk to 93,"

Central Station

"Train's gone," Ivin nodded, "Fifteen minutes till the next one,"
"That's plenty of time," 93 breathed, removing his shoes quickly so he could feel every vibration around him course through the soles of his feet, "Shah, answer me,"
"Uhh. Shah's fading," Jay answered instead, "How close are you? Maybe I can—
"We're right above you, but I need noise," 93 breathed, "As loud and as quick as you can make some,"
"The chains," Jay panted, racing toward the line he just broke free from,
"Chains work," 93 nodded, "Hit the ground. The wall. Anything,"
"Got it. But how will you be able to—
"They're a mile below us," 93 deduced, following the vibration toward the blocked off emergency exit,
"You heard that?"
"I felt you running," 93 smirked, racing behind Ivin and Kuvira, "Would've been harder if you were deeper in the earth. But a mile is like hearing through a closed window,
"I'm banging these chains anyway," Jay huffed, striking the wall with all his might,
"Go," 93 ordered Ivin and Kuvira, "Listen to the metal,"
"I got 'em," Ivin shouted back, slipping down a long corridor before he found the three men, hanging on with what was left of their strength,
"Ugh. Thank god," Jay sighed in exhaustion, sliding his back down the brick wall so he could rest,
"Shah Eugene Uri!" Kuvira shouted, pushing past Ivin and stomping toward him,
"Eugene?" Mako and Jay repeated in unison,
"Mmph. Hey Doll," Shah grinned, his eyes far too heavy to hold open fully,
"When I told you to bring your ass back to me, I meant intact!" Kuvira snapped at him, bending the metal from his wrist and pulling Shah to his feet,
"Detective," 93 knelt by Mako,
"Hey 93," Mako coughed,
"Glad to see you're still with us,"
"Oh, I'm fairly certain I'm hallucinating right now," Mako smirked, eyeing Kuvira checking every inch of Shah's injuries before hugging him tight, "Are those two—
"Oh, more than you know," 93 chuckled, carefully helping Mako sit up, "Let's get you home, shall we?"
