Mako's apartment  midnight

Soft blue credits rolled on the TV when Jay and Shah stood from the couch, stretching away their buzzed stiffness. Mudo, drunker than both of them the moment drinks were poured, snored loudly from a lawn chair on the balcony. Leaving you, snoozing in Mako's lap ten minutes before he eventually followed suit.

"Hmph. Should we wake them?" 93 asked as he and Tenzin sat around the fireplace with their journals,
"I wouldn't," Jay yawned, "That man has nearly strangled me for less,"
"Well, he hasn't strangled me," Shah smirked, tapping Mako's shoulder, "Hey, get her up to bed,"

Mako nodded quietly. Already scooping you in his arms and making his way to the stairs,

"Mmph. Did she eat?" he asked hoarsely,
"Yes. Plenty," Jay answered, "Then you ate the rest. Now go sleep it off,"
"Copy that," Mako yawned before disappearing up the steps,
"You need rest too Shah," 93 urged,
"Soon 93," Shah breathed, "Right now, I have a very lovely lady to write,"
"I figured you'd say that," 93 sighed before rummaging through his napsack, "Snagged this in advance,"
"You clever dog 93," Shah grinned, flipping through the journal with fondness, "Now tell me. How's the mail situation over at Dai Li Headquarters?"
"Punctual,"
"Hmph. I'd expect nothing less," Shah nodded before making his way to the stairs, "Dibs on the spare bedroom,"
"Dibs? Y-You can't call dibs," Jay snapped, marching toward Shah,
"And...Why can't I?"
"Because you just got here. If anyone has dibs on the spare bedroom, it's me,"
"Dipshit has an office," Shah shrugged, "And a couch if you don't wake Mudo,"
"That may be true, but it's not about what Mako has. I-It's about the principle of the—
"Yeah about that, lecture me in the morning would ya?" Shah smirked, racing up the stairs anyway before Jay could finish,
"Ugh. Anyone want to tell me where I went wrong?" Jay asked Tenzin and 93 as he massaged his forehead in frustration,
"I'd say believing he operates on principle," Tenzin chimed, "93?"
"Hmph. I'd say letting him get to the stairs before you did,"
"Ahh," Jay sighed as he snatched a pillow and plopped on the couch, "Noted,"

Bolin's bedroom

An empty freshly made bed felt almost foreign to Shah. Even if it belonged to Mako's brother. Blankets. Sheets. Pillows? Three things he had forgotten the comfort of after spending so much time in a cell,

"I found him babe," Shah sighed as he sat up with his pen, taking in Bolin's room curiously, "Only took me ten hours, but...

How's my little hellraiser?  Shah scribbled quickly,

I miss you like crazy. Everything's good here so far. Well, as good as it can get. Found Dipshit and Training Wheels. Made up with my sister. Even Baldy is...growing on me. Sort of. Not exactly. He's a pain in my literal ass and arm. But we're good here. All of us.

Anyway, how's training? Those cheap cadets better be shitting themselves. I gave Lito a little bit of a scare earlier. He acts like he's never been held at gunpoint in his life. Ugh the dumbasses in this city.

Well, I'm not sure when you'll get this. 93 said the Dai Li mail system is...punctual, but you know me. I don't care how well-oiled a machine is. There's always a chink in someone's armor.

Write again tomorrow. In the meantime, we should plan a vacation. Get away from these freaks. You pick first.
