(My loves! It's Virgo season!!! Life is good. Fall semester has started. I love my professors, my classes, and my little routine. I'm staying out of the drama—for once, and for the next three months, I will be: focusing on work, school, exercising, eating healthy, and most importantly??? FINISHING all three of my ATLA fics. It's gonna take some time, but it must be done so I can feel accomplished lmao.)

Will post again soon. 😙😙😙

[Air Temple Island]

Tenzin had wanted to stop him, but–Shah, in less than a few words...could...actually fly.

He's magnificent. Tenzin panted to himself, his mind scraping towards panic. He's...He's not waking up.

"Snap him out of it!" Tenzin ordered 93,
"How!?" 93 breathed. Shah was lost like a leaf in the wind; a jump and a miss from their fingertips, "He did what you wanted, didn't he?"
"His eyes should've opened by now. He's in a trance!" Tenzin hissed, encasing Shah in an air sphere to hold him in place,
"O-Over Kuvira?"

Her name alone caused three chain reactions: Tenzin's bending faltered. Shah fell. And 93 caught him...well, most of him.

"Fuck! Motherfu–My arm!" Shah cried out, barely holding his balance even with 93's help, "Damn you, Baldy!"
"Damn me?" Tenzin snapped back, "Don't forget you and your senseless bullets are the reason I limped my way up here," he coughed tiredly, "Besides, I only asked you to try because I didn't know you could do it, I only read you could. I still had to see it with my own eyes,"
"Hmph. And?" Shah winced, biting back his shallow breaths,
"We–We have to get you to the infirmary,"
"Uh uh. Tell me what you know first, or I'm gonna start getting real chatty with your missus down the hill," Shah hissed, his anger hot in his lungs, yet somehow froze Tenzin solid,
"You...You were in a trance," Tenzin sighed, deeper than he's ever sighed before, "And it appears...Kuvira is your trigger word,"
"Hey, the only word I associate with trigger has bullets on the other end of it," Shah marched after him, holding his shattered arm tight against his chest,
"I know child, because I was on the striking end of one. Now if you would just–
"Does it look like I need help from an arrogant ass–
"Help!? No," Tenzin staggered in his step, his frustration on the point of tipping, "I'd say you're way past any help a perfectly sane person could possibly give," he scoffed, "Heal. I am trying to heal you. Judging by the bruise that's already forming, your arm could be broken,"
"And you care, why?" Shah blinked, more than annoyed with Tenzin's pestering, "I mean, up until an hour ago, you said my fiancé and I belong in prison,"
"I–Wait. You proposed!?" Tenzin gasped,
"And then you brought me and 93 up here for what?" Shah winced painfully, "See how far I can take this? Or to get the damn drop on me!?"
"Shah," 93 cut in, pulling him back by the shoulder, "Battles. Pick them," he scolded him softly, and then studied Tenzin with pure amusement "Hmph. So. You loathe the dealings of the Dai Li, yet you play hands with the same cards,"
"I uhh–
"Ssss. English 93," Shah seethed, doubled over, clenching his arm even tighter,
"He wants to study you," 93 chuckled lightly, guiding Shah further up the hill, "C'mon. You're pissed and in pain. All the more reason to get that arm looked at,"

[Downtown, Republic City] - Haccis Row

Traffic had picked up—so had the rain. Hence, the reason for the traffic.

That–mixed with the summer heat fogged every frame of glass from the 10th floor up. Even Mako's binoculars. At this point, he was better off blind. The rooftop was no longer an option, nor was the stairwell, after a sharp, warm gust of wind punched past him and slammed the rusted door shut before he could reach it,

"Shit," Mako hissed, checking his watch, "10:41. If Viper's leaving, he and Shin could be ghosts in the lobby by the time I–damn it," he seethed when the idea hit him, "Jay is gonna kill me if he finds out I did this," he sighed, zipping his police jacket to his throat. He was dead set on closing the distance, eyeing the corner edge of the building as he tied his left shoe that is, until your worried voice stopped him cold. But only for a second,
