Nagmamadali akong maligo dahil na late akong gumising! May 7AM class ako ngayon at saktong tumapat pa sa terror na professor! Ang galing!

Pagkatapos namin sa rehearsal kagabi ay pumunta ulit kami don sa tambayan ni Harvey na restaurant kung san siya nag confest. Ihhh, kilig akeszzz.

Medyo ginabi na kami ng uwi, nag enjoy akong kakwentuhan si Harvey. He's very interesting kasi.

Si Mang Selmo na ang naghatid sa akin dahil wala sina Tita at Kuya Dryx. Sina Kuya Lexus naman ay nasa condo ni Mom at doon nagpalipas ng gabi. Bibisita ako mamaya pagkatapos ng klase.

Pagkadating ko sa lecture hall ay nakahinga ako ng maluwag, wala pa ang terror na propesor at nakita ko na agad ang mga blockmates ko na masayang nagkukwentuhan at ang iba naman ay nag aaral.

I sit in the middle of the room, this is were I belong surrounded by the hum of students scribbling notes and typing on laptops. Dumating si Ivy at umupo agad sa tabi ko para magbuklat ng lecture.

"Hindi ka na naman nag aral?" Palagi kong tanong ito sa kanya bago pa man magsimula ang klase namin dahil palagi siyang puma-party.

"Pumunta ako sa birthday party kagabi and I saw you with your boyfriend." Sabi niya at nasa libro pa din ang mata.

"He's not my boyfriend, Ivy." I said.

"Well, alam ko pero may something sa'yp eh, feel ko may naiwan ka sa pilipinas." Sabi niya.

"How do you say so?"

"Nag aaral pa ako mamaya na." Sabi niya at natawa ako.

Ako nga sa sarili ko hindi ko alam kung sasagutin ko si Harvey o hindi eh.

It's worth it naman di'ba? Bakit si Lavin palagi kung may Harvey naman?

Ganon talaga siguro pag nagmahal ka ng totoo, ngunit naputol lahat ng nasaisip ko ng tumahimik.

The atmosphere is thick with tense, all eyes on the famous Professor Cain. He has the reputation for being tough in his students, and today, he seems especially intense. Politician siya actually and puro magagandang article ang nababasa ko sa kanya.

My notebook is open in front of me, but my mind is in the freaking Lavin vs. Harvey!!!

Bakit ba ito ang nasa utak ko?!,... Grrr.

I shake my head, trying to shove those thoughts aside. Focus, Xena. This class is important.

The room goes silent. I feel his eyes scanning the crowd and brace myself. Sure enough, his gaze locks onto me, nararamdaman ko na naman ang kapahamakan ng pangalan ko! Bakit ako?! Tama na!

"Miss Miller, enlighten us." Professor Cain at sinabing tumayo ako.

Yon na! Natumbok na nga! Ayos ah!

My heart skips a beat. I clear my throat, trying to pull the information from my memory.

"Uh, Machiavelli argues that the ends justify the means. He believes that a ruler must be willing to do whatever it takes to maintain power, even if it involves deceit or cruelty." I said. Nanginginig ang tuhod ko dahil nakakunot ang noo niya.

Professor Cain nods slightly, his expression still stern. "Correct." Nakahinga ako ng maluwag, uupo na sana ako pero… "But what does that imply about his view of human nature?" May follow up question pa!
