The office is dimly lit, the only light coming from a desk lamp that illuminates a sea of papers and files.

I seated at my cluttered desk, my eyes strained as I goes through documents, taking notes and occasionally rubbing my temples. The clock on the wall shows it's well past regular working hours.

"Come in." I said at binasa na ang ibang contract na dapat mareview ng maayos bago ko papirmahan sa kapatid ko.

The sound of the door opening catches her off guard. She looks up to see Lavin standing hesitantly in the doorway, a bouquet of flowers in hand. Agad akong umayos ng upo.

"Lavin? I mean, Engineer Sevilla. What are you doing here?" I asked.

Lavin steps into the room, his expression serious but filled with determination.

"Xena, we need to talk. I know you’re busy, but this can’t wait." He said.

I puts down my pen, and my heart racing as I tries to process his unexpected presence.

"Alright. What is it?" I softly said.

Lavin takes a deep breath and walks over, placing the flowers on my desk. Tumingin ako sa rosas na mapupula. At tumingin sa kanya.

"Xena, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about us. About everything that happened between us a long time ago. I know I made mistakes, and I hurt you. For that, I am truly sorry." He sincerely said.

I feels a lump form in my throat. I've been so focused on my work that I hasn’t allowed myself to think about our past.

"Lavin, that was a long time ago. We’ve both moved on... haven’t we?" I sighed.

"Maybe we tried, but it’s clear that I haven’t moved on. Xena, I still love you. I never stopped. And I want a new start with you." I really feel the intense of his words.

I looks at him, my eyes searching his for sincerity. I sees the earnestness and the pain in his eyes, and my resolve begins to waver.

Wag ngayon! Naubos na kita no'ng pasko eh!!!

"Lavin, it’s not that simple. We’ve both changed. Our lives have changed." My voice is shaking.

"I know. But I believe we can find our way back to each other. We owe it to ourselves to try." Lavin nodded.

My mind races with conflicting emotions. I remembers the good times, the laughter, and the love we shared. But I also remembers the pain and the heartbreak.

"What if it doesn’t work out? What if we just end up hurting each other again?"

Lavin reaches out and gently takes my hand in his, his touch warm and reassuring.

"We’ll never know unless we try. I’m willing to take that risk because you mean that much to me. Please, Xena, give us another chance."

I looks down at our joined hands, my heart pounding. I feels a tear slip down my cheek and quickly wipes it away.

Can I really open my heart to him again? Can we really make this work?

I takes a deep breath and looks up at Lavin, my eyes filled with both hope and fear.

"Okay. Let’s try. Let’s see if we can find our way back." I whispered.

Lavin’s face breaks into a relieved smile. He pulls me into a gentle embrace, and I feels a sense of peace I hasn’t felt in a long time.

"Thank you, Xena. You won’t regret this. I promise." Lavin whispered too.

As we hold each other, the weight of the past begins to lift, and for the first time in a long time, I feels a spark of hope for the future.

I know we could happen. Because I know that I've been feeling you. I know I still  want you. Lavin.
