"Ethan! Aiden! We need your help- I forgot how creepy this place could be at night" Irene mumbled to herself as they walked into Derek's loft
After a while of silence Irene sighed and turned around to face Scott but paused when she saw two people behind him. Before she could even speak, the twins punched Scott and pulled him away. Irene tried to object but Ethan turned to her with a serious look before turning back to Scott
"This is how we teach you. By giving in and letting go. That's how Deucalion taught us control" Ethan stated
"By beating each other up? Real bonding experience" Irene said sarcastically
Aiden and Ethan continued to beat up Scott, giving him some crappy advice about becoming the monster he was afraid to become. Scott, however, did nothing to stop them and just accepted the beating. Aiden then flipped Scott onto the table, still bloodying up his face
"Aiden! Stop. Aiden, that's enough!" Irene growled, grabbing the collar of Aiden's shirt and flinging him off of Scott, growling at him as she stood protectively in front of her friend, watching Aiden pick himself back off the floor
"I thought we were helping him!" Aiden objected
"You help too much" Ethan sighed, patting his brother's chest
Irene nodded to Ethan before looking back at Scott in worry. If he couldn't control his werewolf side and fight back against the twins how was he supposed to help Malia? Irene hated to admit it but she was slowly running out of hope
"I just hope this plan works" Irene mumbled to herself as she walked past the twins, giving them another nod before leaving the loft with her friends and heading home.
Irene couldn't sleep much that night. She found herself constantly tossing and turning in her sleep. She carefully slipped out of bed and made her way downstairs, making herself a cup of hot chocolate but froze when someone had come up behind her, giving her a hug
She slowly turned around and found herself smiling when she looked down and saw Eloise hugging her, meeting her eyes with a slight pout
"Don't be sad..." She mumbled
"I'll be ok, sweetie. I promise" Irene said softly before making a hot chocolate for Eloise "Do you want to bake some cookies?"
"I love cookies" She giggled, running to the cupboard to grab a bowl to mix the cookies in

By the time the morning rolled around Irene still felt a bit unsure about the plan but it was going to happen today no matter what she said. They were going to save Malia. It was risky and there was a high chance it wouldn't work but they had to try
Irene was just glad that Eloise wanted to sleep most of the day or watch movies so she didn't have to worry too much about her. But she did buy Eloise a phone just incase she ever needed to reach her
Irene got a bag prepared and packed some spare clothes, underwear and a pair of shoes which she hoped would fit Malia. If their plan worked she didn't want Malia walking around naked in the cold
"You're leaving?" Eloise mumbled
"Hey sweetie" Irene smiled at Eloise who seemed to have just woken up "I'm just going out with some friends for a while. I'll be back later, ok? Why don't you watch some movies? They're all in my room. You know where to find them"
"Ok" The girl nodded before walking into Irene's room, Aella following behind her
After making sure she had everything Irene decided to drive to the part of the reserve the others were meeting at. After getting out of the car she smiled to Lydia and Stiles who were beside her
