I am sorry for going on an unannounced break.

The hate mails continued throughout the week, the lavel oh hex enclosed in the mails gradually increasing.

Harry being moody and irritated was normal in the past week and what bothered Ginny the most was that he won't leave her alone for more than a few minutes. He would always be there as guard.

She would rather get to face the moody Harry, not that it was something good, it was terrible.

"You know Harry, I am going to Hermione's room, I need some notes for both of us, and will be back in a few minutes." She said the following Saturday night.

"I am coming." Harry said, almost casually but he had pressurized the word 'am'.

"You know, I don't need a -"

"I know." He threw his invisibility cloak on himself. "But some people attack from the shadows at the most unexpected times."

She opened her mouth to argue, staring at the place where Harry had disappeared but someone closed her mouth. "I have a bad feeling." He whispered in her right ear. She nodded. Knowing Harry for these many years, she had come to know to take his intuitions seriously.

"But you will do something only if I can't, deal?" She asked.

"Deal." Harry said from near the door, "Come on."

As she left the room, the door closed behind her.

"Be at ready" he whispered lowly.

She tucked her wand in her hair from where she could easily take it at any moment's notice.

The common room was unusually dark even at that time of the night. Curtains were drawn and there was no fire crackling in the fireplace. All the candles had been blown out too.

She went to light her wand but he stopped her. So, she made a beeline to Hermione's room when there was a bang, she turned around to find an unknown wand floating in air.

She grabbed it as a figure emerged from the darkness. She flicked her wand to light the nearest candle.

Romilda Vane flinched as the light hit her eyes but stayed still. She was clearly shocked.

"H-how did you do that?" She asked.

"Maybe I am a better witch than you?" Ginny shrugged.

She tucked both her and Romilda's wand in her pocket, "Can I ask you, how did you get inside my common room?"

"Dean found the password and told me."

Ginny nodded, they really needed to change the password. "And why are you here?"

"To take revenge, blood-traitor!"

Ginny chuckled. "Revenge." She repeated. "For?"

"To steal Harry from me."

"From you?" Ginny asked, the light from the candle flickering against her eyes, making them shine bright, spookily. "When was Harry yours?"
