It was still the same day, but it felt like a lifetime had passed since my dad nearly started World War III in my bedroom. The tension had been unbearable, but seeing Travis stand up to my father and promise to take care of me meant the world to me. Despite everything that had happened, he was still here for me, and that gave me hope.

I knew things wouldn't be fixed overnight, but we were heading in the right direction. Being in Kansas together could be a new fresh start for us. As I started packing some clothes and necessities, I realized this also gave me a perfect excuse for some retail therapy once we got there.

Travis was trying to help, but he wasn't exactly making it easier. He held up random outfits, asking if I wanted to bring them, and I kept shaking my head.

"What about this one?" he asked, holding up a sequined dress that I hadn't worn in years.

"No, Travis," I said, laughing. "I don't need that."

Just then, the doorbell rang. Brittany got up to answer it and came back with a beautiful arrangement. "Flowers for you, Ari. These are from Meg."

"Oh wow, they're gorgeous," I said, smiling as I read the sweet note.

The doorbell rang again. Brittany returned with another bouquet. "This one's from Doja Cat."

I laughed, shaking my head. "I feel so loved right now."

Travis moved on to another outfit, this time a pair of jeans. "This?"

"Nope," I replied, shaking my head again.

He continued on for a bit and every time I said no but the thought was nice.

Then he got to my lingerie drawer and pulled out a lacy red set. His eyes lit up with a grin. "Definitely bringing this. Why haven't I seen this before?"

I laughed, shaking my head. "Because it's new, and I haven't had a chance to wear it."

"Well, I'm looking forward to seeing it," he said, winking.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of sorting through my closet, we finished packing. We made our way back to the living room where everyone was hanging out. The atmosphere was much more relaxed now, a sense of camaraderie filling the room.

Throughout the day, the flower deliveries didn't stop. Each time Brittany would announce who they were from, it lifted my spirits. There was a stunning bouquet from Drake, a thoughtful assortment from Abel, and Miley's flowers were as vibrant and colorful as her personality. Vanessa's bouquet was classy and understated, reflecting her style perfectly. The constant arrival of flowers was a heartwarming reminder of the support I had from my friends.

When a bouquet from Theo arrived, I felt a pang of discomfort. Brittany handed me the note, and I barely glanced at it before saying, "Can you throw these away, please?"

She raised an eyebrow but didn't question it. "Of course," she said, chuckling as she took them out of the room.

Ross, ever the joker, noticed the influx of flowers and couldn't resist making a comment. "Geez, Ari, do you know everyone in Hollywood?"

I laughed, shaking my head. "I guess I've made a few friends along the way."

Later, we all gathered in the living room again. Ross, Patrick, and Brittany were there, and the mood was much lighter than it had been earlier.

Ross looked at me and Travis, a curious expression on his face. "So, is this move temporary or permanent?"

At the same time, I said, "Temporary," and Travis said, "It could be permanent if she wants."

I looked at him, surprised by his answer, and he shrugged with a smile. "Just saying, I'd love to have you in Kansas City for good."

I blushed, feeling a warmth spread through me. "We'll see how things go," I said softly, looking around at everyone.

Brittany smiled at us, her eyes twinkling. "I think it's a great idea. You two need each other."

Patrick nodded in agreement. "And we're here to support you both."

After a while, I decided to call Miley to update her on everything. She answered on the first ring, her voice filled with concern. "Hey, Ari! What's going on? I saw the TMZ article. Are you okay?"

"I'm okay, Miley," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "It's been rough."

"What do you mean?" she asked, her concern evident.

I took a deep breath and explained everything—the kiss with Theo, Travis seeing it, and the fallout. Miley listened quietly, letting me pour out my heart.

"That's a lot, Ari," she said finally. "But you're doing the right thing by being honest with him and trying to work it out."

"I hope so," I said, my voice trembling. "It's just so hard."

"I know," she said softly. "But you're strong, and you'll get through this. And remember, I'm always here for you."

"Yes, I'm really surprised but Travis asked me to go to Kansas City until I'm better." I said.

There was a moment of silence before Miley responded. "Wow. Are you sure about this?"

"Yes," I said firmly. "We need to be together to really work through everything. And I think a change of scenery will do us good."

"Alright," she said, her tone softening. "Just promise me you'll take care of yourself and call me if you need anything."

"I promise," I said, smiling. "Thanks, Miley."

"Anytime, babe. I love you," she said.

"Love you too," I replied before hanging up.

After the call, I hobbled around the house on my crutches, which I was quickly growing to hate. Every step was a reminder of my injury and the tour that had to be postponed.

Another bouquet had arrived while I was on the phone with Miley. Brittany handed me a note and I realized it was from Zach. It read, "I miss you." I rolled my eyes and laughed as I handed the note to Travis.

He glanced at it and crumpled it up. "This is going in the trash," he said firmly.

Patrick added, "I heard he's not doing well in the NBA right now."

"That's because he's trash in every way," I said, and we all laughed.

As the evening wound down and everyone began to go to bed, Travis and I were left alone in the living room.

"Travis," I said, looking at him seriously. "Do you think we'll be okay?"

He took my hand, squeezing it gently. "I do, Ari. It's not going to be easy, and we have a lot of work to do, but I believe in us. As long as we're both committed, we can get through anything."

I smiled, feeling a surge of hope. "I believe in us too."

As we sat there, holding hands and looking towards the future, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together. And that was all that mattered.
