Arianna
The sun was just beginning to rise as the moving truck pulled up to Travis's house, its massive form a stark reminder of how much my life was about to change. This week has been very chaotic but the day is finally here. Moving day.
As the movers began unloading the truck, friends and family arrived to help. Brittany and Patrick were among the first, followed by Travis's teammates, who brought an infectious energy to the day. It was heartwarming to see everyone come together to support us.
I stood in the driveway, watching as box after box was carried into the house. Each one was labeled with meticulous detail—"Clothes," "Shoes," "Kitchen," "Books," "Music Equipment." Seeing all my belongings in transit, I felt a mix of excitement and nostalgia.
Brittany came up beside me, giving me a reassuring smile. "How are you holding up?"
I took a deep breath, trying to steady my emotions. "It's surreal, you know? Saying goodbye to my place in LA and moving here. But it feels right."
She hugged me tightly. "We're so happy to have you here, Ari. And Travis is over the moon."
We joined the others, helping carry boxes inside. The house was buzzing with activity, everyone laughing and chatting as they worked. Travis was in his element, directing the movers and making sure everything was in its proper place.
We continued working, the hours flying by in a blur of activity. By mid-afternoon, most of my belongings were inside. Brittany and Patrick had taken charge of the kitchen, organizing the cabinets and pantry, while Travis's teammates helped set up the larger pieces of furniture.
As the sun began to set, I stood in the middle of the living room, looking around at the organized chaos. It was overwhelming, but also comforting to see my things blending with Travis's. This was our space now, a place where we would build our future together.
I walked into the spare room, which I had decided to turn into my personal office. The movers had carefully unpacked my awards, plaques, and records. I smiled as I saw my Grammy Awards, neatly arranged on the shelves. There were framed gold and platinum records, each representing a significant milestone in my career. Posters from my sold-out tours, magazine covers featuring my face, and other memorabilia were scattered around, waiting to be placed.
Brittany peeked in, her eyes widening at the sight. "Wow, Ari. This is incredible."
I chuckled, a little embarrassed by the display. "It's just part of the journey, you know?"
She nodded, her admiration genuine. "You've accomplished so much. Travis is lucky to have someone as amazing as you."
As the movers finished up, I carefully placed my awards and records on the shelves. Seeing them all together reminded me of how far I'd come and how much I had to be grateful for. This room, filled with memories of my past, would serve as a sanctuary in our new home.
Travis
The day had been a whirlwind, but seeing Arianna's things fill the house made everything feel more real. I watched as the movers carried in box after box, each one labeled with items I couldn't even begin to guess at. It was clear she had a lot more stuff than I had anticipated.
Brittany and Patrick had been a huge help, organizing the kitchen and making sure everything found its place. My teammates brought a level of energy and camaraderie that made the day more enjoyable. It felt like a big family effort, and I couldn't have been more grateful.
I was in the living room, helping set up a bookshelf, when I saw the movers struggling with a massive grand piano. "Where do you want this?" one of them called out.
I turned to Arianna, who was directing them from the doorway. "Right over there by the window," she said with a smile. "It's going to be perfect there."
As they carefully maneuvered the piano into place, I walked over to her. "I had no idea you had so much stuff."
She laughed, a sound that made my heart soar. "Well, you did say to make myself at home. I guess I took that literally."
I glanced around at the high-end furniture, the designer clothes, and the impressive collection of musical instruments. I knew Arianna was successful, but seeing it all laid out in front of me was another reminder of how different our worlds were. Not that it mattered—I loved her for who she was, not what she had.
We spent the rest of the afternoon unpacking boxes, finding places for everything. It was fun, in a chaotic sort of way. At one point, we took a break and found ourselves sitting on the floor, surrounded by empty boxes and packing material.
"This is going to be great," I said, looking at her. "You and me, building a life together."
She smiled, leaning her head on my shoulder. "I couldn't agree more."
As the day turned into evening, we finally managed to get the last of the boxes unpacked. The house looked different now—warmer, more inviting. It felt like a home.
After everyone left, Arianna and I collapsed on the couch, exhausted but happy. She snuggled into my side, and I wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close.
"We did it," she said softly. "We made it through moving day."
I kissed the top of her head. "Yeah, we did. And now we get to enjoy it."
We sat there in comfortable silence, the glow of the setting sun casting a warm light through the windows. The future felt bright, full of promise and possibilities.
"I love you, Arianna," I said, my voice filled with emotion.
"I love you too, Travis," she replied, looking up at me with those beautiful eyes.
As we sat there, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together. This was the start of something amazing, and I couldn't wait to see where it would take us.
After dinner, we wandered through the house again, making a mental list of things we still needed to do. We laughed and joked, imagining what it would look like once everything was in place.
As we entered her office, I was struck by the sheer volume of her achievements. Awards, plaques, and records adorned the shelves, a testament to her hard work and talent. I walked over to a shelf, picking up a framed gold record.
"This is incredible, Ari. I knew you were successful, but seeing all this...it's something else."
She joined me, a shy smile on her face. "It's been a journey, that's for sure. But I'm glad I get to share this part of my life with you now."
I set the record down, pulling her into a hug. "And I'm honored to be a part of it."
We spent the rest of the evening arranging her awards and memorabilia, making the office truly hers. It felt good to be creating this space together, blending our lives in such a meaningful way.
Finally, as the night grew late, we made our way back to the bedroom.
Arianna snuggled up next to me, her head resting on my chest. "Today was a good day," she said, her voice a soft murmur.
"It really was," I agreed, wrapping my arms around her.
We lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, feeling content and at peace.
