Now back to the story

Arianna

Kansas City was slowly beginning to feel more like home, especially with the recording studio Travis had set up for me. His thoughtful gesture meant the world to me, but I still missed my friends in LA. Deciding it was time for a catch-up, I called my best friend, Miley.

I dialed Miley's number and waited for her cheerful voice to come through the line.

"Hey, girl!" Miley answered, her voice full of excitement. "How's Kansas City treating you?"

"Hey, Miley!" I replied, a smile spreading across my face. "It's been good, but I miss you guys so much."

"We miss you too," she said. "So, tell me everything! How's Travis? How's the house?"

"Travis has been amazing," I said. "And guess what? He set up a recording studio for me in the house!"

"No way! That's so sweet," Miley exclaimed. "Can I see it?"

"Of course!" I said, switching to a video call. I gave Miley a virtual tour of the house, ending with the recording studio. "This is where I've been spending a lot of my time."

"This is incredible, Ari," Miley said, her eyes wide with admiration. "He really went all out."

"He did," I agreed, feeling a surge of gratitude. "But I still miss you and the girls. Maybe you and Vanessa could come visit? We could have a girls' weekend here."

"That sounds perfect," Miley said. "Let's plan it. I'll check with Vanessa, but I'm sure she'll be up for it."

"Awesome," I said, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders. "I can't wait to see you guys."

"Me neither," Miley replied. "So, how's it been with Travis?"

"It's been really good," I said honestly. "He's been so supportive and loving. We're working through a lot together, but it's been worth it."

"That's great to hear," Miley said. "You deserve it, Ari."

"Thanks, Miley. Love you, girl."

"Love you too," she said, ending the call with a renewed sense of excitement.

After the call, I felt a bit lighter. Knowing that my friends were planning to visit made Kansas City feel more connected to my life in LA. I got ready for my physical therapy session, making sure to wear comfortable clothes that allowed for easy movement.

Bryan, my physical therapist, had been amazing so far. His sessions were tough but effective, and I could feel my ankle getting stronger with each visit. Today, I was determined to push myself a little further.

When the doorbell rang, I knew it was Bryan. I opened the door with a smile. "Hey, Bryan!"

"Hey, Arianna," he greeted me, his usual friendly demeanor putting me at ease. "Ready for today's session?"

"Definitely," I replied, leading him to the living room where we usually did our exercises.

We started with some stretches to warm up, and Bryan guided me through each movement with patience and encouragement. "How's the ankle feeling today?" he asked.

"Better," I said, focusing on my form. "Still a bit stiff, but I can tell it's improving."

"That's great to hear," Bryan said. "Consistency is key. You're doing really well."
