Travis
I woke up holding Arianna, her warmth pressed against me, and I felt a sense of peace I hadn't known in a long time. She was awake, tracing a pattern on my skin with her fingertips, and I couldn't help but smile. I kissed her gently and said, "Good morning."
She smiled back, her eyes bright with happiness. "Good morning."
For a moment, everything felt perfect. But then my phone rang, breaking the tranquility. I reached over to see a text from Kayla: "I'll be there in ten minutes to get my things."
I showed the message to Arianna, who sighed. "I'll just stay upstairs. I don't want to see her."
I nodded, understanding. "Alright. I'll handle this."
I got dressed quickly and went downstairs to gather Kayla's things. Just as I finished, the doorbell rang. I took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Here are your things," I said, handing her the box.
She took it but didn't leave. "You know, Travis, I never really needed you. I only used you for your money anyway."
Her words stung, but I refused to let her see that. "Well, now you have what you wanted. There's no reason for you to still be here."
She tried to maintain her composure, but I could see the frustration in her eyes. "You'll regret this."
"Goodbye, Kayla," I said firmly, closing the door behind her.
I took a deep breath, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders. I went back upstairs to find Arianna waiting.
"She's gone," I said.
"Good," Arianna replied, relief evident in her voice.
I took her hand and pulled her close. "Let's get out of here. We can go anywhere in the world."
She looked at me, surprise and excitement in her eyes. "Travis, my album is coming out in two weeks. My manager will kill me."
"We'll figure it out," I said, grinning. "Come on, just live in the moment with me. Let's go to Greece."
Arianna laughed, shaking her head. "You are a wild boy. Travis, you're a wild boy."
"That's why you like me," I teased.
She rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "I have no clothes for a vacation."
"We'll go shopping," I said, taking her hand. "Come on, just trust me. Live in the moment."
"This is absolutely insane. I can't believe you talked me into this," she said, still laughing.
While I made the travel arrangements, Arianna went to call her manager. I could hear snippets of her conversation from the other room, and it sounded intense.
"Yes, I know the album is coming out in two weeks... No, I haven't lost my mind... I promise I'll be back in time for everything... Yes, I know it's short notice... Look, I just need a break, okay?"
She walked back into the room, a mix of relief and anxiety on her face. "She wasn't happy, but I convinced her. We can go."
"Great," I said, pulling her into a hug. "You deserve this."
"I should bring security," she said, her voice tinged with concern.
I shook my head, a confident smile on my face. "I'm a football player. No one is going to try anything when I'm around. It'll be absolutely fine. I just want to spend time with you."
She looked at me, considering my words. "We have to be very discreet, even if we are in a different country."
"Agreed," I said, nodding. "No security."
She took a deep breath and then smiled. "Okay, no security."
We packed a few essentials, and I called a car to take us to the airport. On the way, we stopped at a few boutiques, and I watched as Arianna picked out clothes for our spontaneous trip. Her excitement was contagious, and I couldn't help but feel exhilarated by the adventure we were embarking on.
As we arrived at the private jet terminal, Arianna's eyes widened. "You arranged a private jet?"
I grinned, nodding. "I wanted this to be special. No paparazzi, no interruptions. Just us."
She hugged me tightly, her excitement palpable. "This is amazing, Travis."
We boarded the plane, and as it took off into the clear blue sky, I looked over at her, my heart swelling with affection. "Ready for this?"
She smiled, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Ready."
We settled into our seats, the plane taking off smoothly. I reached for her hand, and she squeezed mine back, a silent promise of the adventure ahead. For the first time in a long time, I felt free, ready to embrace whatever came our way with Arianna by my side.
As the plane soared higher, I leaned in and whispered, "Here's to living in the moment."
"Here's to us," she replied, her voice filled with hope and happiness.
We shared a kiss, sealing our promise to each other. This was just the beginning of our journey, and I couldn't wait to see where it would take us.
