I had finally wrapped up my album "positions" and was heading back to Kansas for good. Letting go of the rental property in Malibu felt like closing a chapter. But before leaving, I spent some time with Miley and Vanessa. We laughed, reminisced, and caught up on everything.
Back in Kansas, Travis was waiting for me at the airport. He welcomed me home with a tight hug and a kiss on the forehead. "Welcome home," he said softly.
"It feels good to be home," I replied, feeling a sense of warmth.
As we drove back to the house, I filled him in on my time in LA. "Miley and Vanessa were so excited about the Grammys. I completely forgot about them with everything going on."
He chuckled. "How could you forget about the Grammys?"
"I know, right? But Miley insisted I go, especially since she's performing."
"I'm glad you're going. You deserve to be celebrated."
We got home and decided to make dinner together. As we chopped vegetables and stirred pots, I told him more about my time in LA and the progress on the album.
After dinner, I took his hand and led him downstairs to the recording studio. "Follow me," I said with a teasing smile.
He looked intrigued. "You're actually going to let me listen?"
"Yes," I laughed, handing him a pair of headphones. "You're the first person outside my music team to hear this."
He put on the headphones, and I started the album. The first song, "Shut Up," began to play. The lyrics were a direct message to the media, telling them to mind their own business and shut up. As the bold message unfolded, I watched Travis's reaction closely. He laughed, clearly enjoying the defiant tone.
He bopped his head along to the songs, clearly enjoying the music. When the album reached "What Was I Made For?" I noticed his eyes glistening with emotion. "This is a really beautiful song," he said, almost tearing up.
As the album continued, he was clearly absorbed. When "Off the Table" with The Weeknd came on, he smiled. "You and The Weeknd killed it with this one," he said, his admiration evident.
When the album finished, he took off the headphones, a broad smile on his face. "You might as well make more room for more Grammys because 2024 might just be the year you sweep the Grammys."
I laughed, feeling a surge of happiness and pride. "You really think so?"
He kissed me softly. "You are so talented. I can't believe you're going to be my wife."
I melted into his embrace, our lips meeting in a tender kiss. "So, which song is your favorite?"
"34+35," he said with a mischievous grin. "By the way, you do taste like candy."
His words sent a shiver down my spine. He kissed my neck, his lips trailing lower as he lifted up my skirt. His fingers slid inside me, and his tongue worked its magic until I was moaning with pleasure. He drove me crazy, using both his fingers and his tongue, pushing me over the edge into a mind-blowing orgasm.
I was barely catching my breath when he whispered huskily, "Let's go to bed but not sleep."
He picked me up, carrying me upstairs. In the bedroom, he laid me down gently, his eyes full of love and desire. We made love passionately, our bodies moving in perfect harmony. Every touch, every kiss, felt like a promise of forever.
Afterwards, we lay in each other's arms, our breathing slowly returning to normal. I felt so at peace, so completely in love.
"I love you," he murmured, his fingers gently stroking my hair.
"I love you too," I replied, my heart full.
turned to him, my fingers tracing circles on his chest. "Travis, do you want to go to the Grammys with me?"
He smiled, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "I would be honored," he said softly.
I kissed him again, feeling the warmth of his love surround me. This was the beginning of a new chapter for us, one filled with hope, passion, and endless possibilities. As I drifted off to sleep in his arms, I knew that no matter what challenges we faced, we would always have each other. And that was all that mattered.
