Travis

My heart pounded in my chest as I walked away from Arianna's hospital room, Patrick's firm grip on my arm the only thing keeping me from storming back in there and tearing Theo apart. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. My girlfriend, the woman I was trying so hard to win back, kissing another man. And not just any man—Theo, the guy I had suspected for months. It felt like a punch to the gut.

Patrick guided me into a quiet corner of the hospital hallway. "Travis, you need to calm down," he said, his voice low and urgent. "This isn't the place for a scene."

"Calm down?" I hissed, my anger barely contained. "I just walked in on my girlfriend kissing another guy. How the hell am I supposed to calm down?"

"I know you're pissed," Patrick said, his grip tightening on my arm. "But losing your temper isn't going to solve anything. We need to think this through."

I took a deep breath, trying to get a grip on my raging emotions. "I've been getting cheated on, Pat. This whole time, I've been trying to fix things, and she's been sneaking around with him behind my back."

"I get it, man. It's a shitty situation," Patrick replied, his voice steady. "But you need to talk to her, get her side of the story. Maybe there's more to it than what you saw."

I shook my head, the betrayal cutting deep. "I don't know if I can, Pat. Every time I think about it, I just get more pissed."

"Listen, let's get out of here for a bit," Patrick suggested. "Go for a walk, cool off, and then decide what you want to do. But you can't make a decision in this state."

Reluctantly, I nodded. "Alright, let's go."

We left the hospital, the cool night air hitting me like a slap in the face. I walked beside Patrick, my mind racing. The image of Arianna kissing Theo played on a loop in my head, fueling my anger and hurt.

"I can't believe this," I muttered, kicking at a loose pebble on the sidewalk. "I thought we were getting back on track."

"Maybe she was just confused," Patrick offered. "You know how stressful things have been for her lately."

"Confused?" I scoffed. "That's one hell of a way to show it."

We walked in silence for a few more minutes before Patrick spoke again. "Look, you need to decide what you want, Travis. Do you want to fight for her, or is this the breaking point?"

I stopped walking, staring up at the night sky. "I don't know, Pat. I love her, but I don't know if I can get past this."

Patrick nodded, understanding in his eyes. "Take your time. Don't rush into a decision. But whatever you do, make sure it's what you really want."

We headed back to the hospital, my mind no clearer than when we had left. When we got to the entrance, I saw Brittany waiting for us. Her expression was a mix of concern and frustration.

"Travis, you need to talk to her," she said firmly. "She's a mess in there."

"I don't know if I can, Britt," I replied, shaking my head. "I don't know if I can look at her without losing it."

"Then take a minute, but don't leave things like this," she insisted. "You both need to talk this out."

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on me. "Alright. I'll talk to her."

With Patrick and Brittany by my side, I walked back to Arianna's room. I needed answers, and I needed to know if there was anything left worth fighting for. The image of her with Theo still burned in my mind, but I owed it to myself to hear her out.

As I entered the room, Arianna looked up, her eyes red from crying. "Travis, I—"

"Save it," I said, my voice cold. "We need to talk. Now."

This was it. The moment of truth. And I wasn't sure if I was ready for what I might hear. But I had to know. I had to know if there was any hope left for us.
