Aari had resolved to move forward, leaving behind thoughts of her ex. Her days were now a blend of job applications and deepening connection with Sebastian, their time together becoming an integral part of their routines.

One sunny afternoon, Sebastian proposed they go to the movies with his best friend, Kevin. He wanted Aari to meet Kevin and thought it would be enjoyable for all three to spend time together. Aari eagerly agreed, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation about the outing.

The sudden maneuver caused their car to skid momentarily, sending Aari's heart racing. She instinctively braced herself, but her head collided with the window during the chaotic spin.

When Sebastian finally regained control and brought the car to a stop, he turned to check on Aari immediately. She reassured him with a smile, brushing off the discomfort from the impact. Kevin, ever the joker, quipped in his characteristic dark humor, "Well, Seb, next time, let's stick to virtual roller-coasters. They're safer, and no whiplash!" His comment, though laced with jest, surprisingly elicited a nervous laugh from Aari, easing the tension in the car.

Arriving at the theater, Sebastian's hands still trembled slightly as he helped Aari out of the car. She appreciated his steadying touch, her mind still reeling from the adrenaline rush of the near-miss. They joined the queue for tickets, where Sebastian stood protectively beside her, his presence comforting amidst the lingering unease.
