Chapter 06 // 'Are We in an Alternative Universe or Something?'
"I feel abandoned." Archer laughs, I glance up at Jay and glare at him too.
"I said I'm sorry about a thousand times Jayson." I hiss saying his full first name because I know how much he hates it. Jay rolls his eyes and turns to Archer.
"I am so sorry you have to put up with her." Jay comment to Archer which earns him a glare and Jay a punch to the stomach from me.We are standing outside the main office because when we got to the school Jay was waiting there for me to show him around which made him miss his first three periods.
"It's fine, I think I've gotten used to her hurtful remarks." Archer laughs throwing a heavy arm around my shoulder. Jay looks at Archer's arm around me for a couple of seconds before a delayed laugh comes out of his mouth but his eyes were showing a completely different emotion. Shrugging we all continue down the hall towards Jay's fourth period which was conveniently mine and Archer's as well, Biology. The hallway was completely empty thank goodness because I'm not ready to deal with all of the extra eyes on me, Archer, and of course Jay the only people were us and the occasional security guard passing by us.
"Here we go room D367." Archer calls out as we stop in front of a dark brown wooden door. Stopping I wait for Archer to remove his arm from me but he doesn't as he opens the door as we all walk in. I swear to Nutella I could hear a pin drop as we walked into the room. My eyes glance around the room not meeting eyes with anyone except Montelsé who shoots me a death glare causing me the shrink back into Archer's arms- big mistake which causes her to glare at me even more.
Ms.Janet out biology teacher wasn't in the room right now so as soon as we start walking to the lab desks the whole room immediately starts talking. Looking around the room searching for an empty seat I internally groan when I see there is only one more lab desk left that was empty that only sat two people and one more seat left for another person, next to Montelsé. Shrugging Archer's arm off my shoulder we make our way to the desks. I make a beeline towards one of the empty seats in the remaining lab desk the one farther away from Montelsé.
"Jay right? Why don't you come and sit with me." I hear her say turning my head I look at Jay who was hesitantly sitting down next to her placing both of his hands on top of the black lab table.
"Ok class, today I'm finally going to be telling you about this quarters group project!" Ms. Janet calls out as she enters the class from the supply closet carrying a huge stack of papers.
"And yes, you guys will be working on this over winter break too."
To which the whole class groans. That means I'm actually going to have to interact with the people who are in my group over WINTER BREAK. Great just great, I turn my head to Archer and I suppress a laugh when I see his face. His head way down facing his lap where his phone was resting and I could see how concentrated he was. His eyebrows were furrowed together and his lips were pursed as he was playing a game. Glancing down at his laugh I let out a small chuckle when I see that he was playing subway surfers. Turning my attention back to the teacher, I see that she was heading our way with the papers for the project. I nudge Archer with my elbow and he looks up quickly putting his phone back in his back pocket he mutter a quick 'thank you' as Ms. Janet walks up to our table placing two packets on me and Archer's desk and another one on Jay and Montelsé's desk.
I hear Archer groan when he realizes that we're in the same group as them and I'm really trying my hardest not to do that same thing I'm not trying to give Montelsé a reason to hate me even more then she already does.
"Ok guys meet with your groups. Discuss what you guys are going to do and a rough draft explaining your project is due the day before break." Ms. Janet yells as she walks back to her desk. I turn to Archer and he shrugs, glaring at him I get up and walk to where Jay and Montelsé were sitting. Setting my paper down onto the desk not meeting Montelsé's eyes I drag a nearby stool directly in front of Jay which leaves Archers next to Montelsé.
