- Chapter - Forty - Seven -
"Why are we here?" Hayley asks as I take a seat between Liam and Hayley on the bleachers along with the entire senior body.
"They're going to be talking about the senior trip." Liam answers back leaning back against the wall and Hayley claps excitedly, looking around I frown.
"Where's everyone else?" I ask trying to spot Beckett in the crowd and Liam points to the stage where the head and the football team are standing.
"Quiet please!" Headmistress announces through a microphone and the gym silences.
"As many of you guys already know we have some exciting news to share with you guys today, but first I'd like you all you give a nice round of applause to our very own football team for winning the first game of the season!" She claps and we follow. I spot Archer in the front shaking hands with the head and my stomach flips. I haven't talked to him since that morning. It's partially my fault every time I see him I avoid him like the plague, I just don't know what I'd tell him.
"Now! On to the news that you guys have been waiting for, as all of you know Richmond has been fortunate enough to provide a trip every year for our seniors and this year isn't any different."
"This year we've decided to give you all three choices and as per tradition let you all chose." She smiles and we all let out a approving cheer.
"This year is going to be different, due to scheduling issues we are going to be going earlier in the year, the date is going to be dependent of which trip we go on." She explains and the gymnasium erupts into applause everyone happy to go on the trip earlier.
"The first and earliest trip that we're offering next month is a winter ski trip in Tarentaise Valley, France. The second one is a trip down to Punta Cana in December, and lastly is a trip to California in June." She announces and the gym goes into hysterics.
"Which place are you voting for?" Liam leans in and asks as I pull out my phone from my pocket.
"The ski one, definitely." I respond and he nods as I unlock my phone and tapping in our school app icon. The trips are lavish, and sounded amazing as to be expected with this school but the thought of being together non stop for a week with everyone from Archer to Jasper to Montelsé makes me kind of sick to my stomach.
"I'll give you guys a couples minutes to finish choosing between these amazing places and after that I'll give the stage to Archer Moreno here to announce the winner." Headmistress Ryder explains before walking off the stage to the back where most of the teachers are standing.
