- Chapter - Forty - Six -
"I can't do this." Archer groans removing his lips from mine and hurt rushes through me.
"What do you mean?" I ask confused and he runs his hand over his face looking frustrated.
"This isn't right. I'm sorry let's just go to sleep." He sighs, without saying anything I turn around my back facing him and I close my eyes. The rest of the night was filled with annoyed tossing and turning until light filled the room.
Yawning I quietly get out of the bed, I glance at Archer my heart pangs for a second before I quietly walk out of the room to the living room. I grab it off of a coffee table checking the time the light blinding me.
It's only seven thirty no one would be awake especially on a Saturday morning. Sighing I make my way back into Archer's room trying to make as less noise as possible as I shuffle through my duffle bag. I take out some sneakers and socks deciding to go on a run around campus to clear my mind. Archer moves on the bed making me freeze, I don't want to talk about last night.
I walk out of the room sneakers in hand and I walk to the bathroom almost flinching at my appearance. I had dark circles under my eyes and I just looked tired. I put my hair up into a makeshift ponytail and brush my teeth before getting out closing the door behind me and slipping on my sneakers.
I trudge back into the living room picking up my purse that I'd thrown onto the couch last night. I dig out my earbuds and some cash before throwing it back on the couch and making my way out of the dorm.
I go through my phone as I walk down the stairs trying my best not to be seen. I slip my earbuds in music blasting throughout my ears as I step outside and start jogging. I close my eyes taking in a deep breath last night flooding through my head.
What had that kiss meant? More importantly what does that kiss mean now?
When he kissed me, I don't know what happened; it wasn't like anything me and Jared had, or even with Jasper. It was like a breath of fresh air that I haven't felt in a while and when he pulled away it hurt a lot.
I pick up speed as I race past the the main building towards the large gates exciting campus. What feels like thousands of thoughts rush through my head as I stop out of breath at the front of the cafe. Panting I take the earbuds out of my ears as I walk inside the warm almost empty cafe.
The barista a raven haired guy with really bright eyes greets me with a smile when I reach the counter.
"Hey what can I get you?" He asks and my eyes rake over the menu.
