"That was amazing sweetie." My mother smiles tears in her eyes as she pulls me in for the ten millionth hug in a row. I groan but a smile is still on my face knowing that she's only being embarrassing because she's proud.
"Okay, honey I think Brooklyn has had enough." My father chuckles and she just hushes him.
Everything just wrapped up we'd received our diplomas and now everyone's in the courtyard taking pictures.
"Mom I have to go and get Jax, I think the girls are holding him hostage over there." I joke pointing over to where a flock of girls surrounded Jax who had showed up to my graduation like he promised.
I pull myself away from my mother's grip and walk over to where Jax stood near a fountain. The closer I got to him I noticed that eyes were wide like he was scared and I hold back a laugh.
"Uh, sorry girls I have to go now." He stutters before all but sprinting over to me.
"Having fun?" I ask humorously and he glares at me shuttering a little. You would think with the success that Jax has that he would be used to fans coming up to him but he's never been and he probably never will.
"How do you feel about leaving?" Jax asks hopefully with a pleading look in his eyes.
I laugh shaking my head, if I'm being honest I kind of felt bad for dragging him out here.
"Yeah sure, I'm going to go say goodbye to everyone." I tell him clutching the cap in my hand glancing around the field.
I spot Hayley, Liam, Jared, and Beckett near the back and I head over to them trying to keep a smile on my face. Just thinking about how in a matter of days we'll all be going out separate ways makes me want to tear up.
To my surprise Jax walks beside me as I head over to them.
"Brooklyn!" Beckett calls out noticing me first and I grin.
Beckett gives me a quick hug before his eyes glance over to Jax, knowing his ways I turn to Jared who winks at me glancing at Jax by my side and I roll my eyes.
"You're speech was amazing." Jax compliments Liam referring to his valedictorian speech that he gave along with Jasper and Chloe.
"I know, it's just so sad Jasper the other valedictorian had to come up after me and fuck everything up." Liam laughs running a hand through his black hair.
"Speak of the devil." Jared mutters. I quickly turn around spotting Jasper and Chloe making their way towards us with smiles on their faces.
"Are you kidding me?" I complain biting the inside of my cheek realizing that whenever Jasper approaches us something breaks out.
My mind unintentionally drifts towards Archer who I haven't seen all day and thankful about it too.
"Isn't that, that girl who was with Blaze when you and Archer were In California?" Jax questions and Hayley nods her head for me.
"That's Princess Chloe and Prince Jasper Arden." Hayley answers emphasizing the words prince and princess.
Before Jax can say anything else Chloe and Jasper reach us both of them also in their cap and gowns like the rest of us.
I feel Jared tense up beside me as they stop, Jasper directly in front of me. My heart jumps out of my chest taking him in before an overwhelming sense of disgust takes over me.
