Chapter 12 // ' What Just Happened '
"There's this cool arcade place down in SoHo what to go there?" I ask as we get into a black suv that Jasper called for a few minutes ago.
"What is an arcade?" The word slipping of his tongue like they were foreign. I face him shocked as I put my seatbelt on.
"You've never been to an arcade?" I ask and he nods.
"You'll love it." I assure him and I look straight ahead at the black privacy screen that separated us from the driver and the bodyguard that Jasper says has to go everywhere with him for our safety.
My mind wanders back to what Beckett said back at their dorm. was this a date or was this just two people hanging out as friends? Does Jasper think this is a date? Oh my gosh what if he does, does that mean I have to act like we're going on a date? Oh shit what do I do?
"You look worried." Jasper comments his eyes roaming my face making my cheeks warm up.
"I'm fine." I lie.
I could tell that he saw straight through my lie by the way his eyes crinkled on the sides as me examined me with his striking blue eyes.
"Can I ask you a question?" I ask turning and facing him once again.
He nods a calm expression in his face. "Why were you such a dick the first day I met you?" I ask curiously.
He laughs humorously, "I was just having a bad day, I was supposed to finish high school back in our home country but my parents thought it would be better for me to finish at Richmond." He confesses shrugging. I nod understandably.
"Wait I thought you said that you attended RA since middle school?" I ask.
"Yeah, then I moved back freshman year. Me and Chloe grew up with Liam, Hayley and Beckett so she wanted to stay but I was feeling a little homesick." He explains.
"What about Archer?" I question.
"He grew up in California with his movie star parents but something happened that he won't tell us that made his parents send him here."
I nod making a mental note to ask Archer what happened.
"What about now?" Jasper asks snapping me out of my thoughts.
"What about what?"
"Do you still think I act like a dick?" He asks trying to mimic my American accent but ends up pronouncing dick wrong making me giggle.
