Chapter 29

"How was the trip?" Beckett asks us all as he sits at the table setting his tray down giving me a side hug.

We had landed Sunday evening barely making it on campus before midnight but Chloe insisted that we go to school today because of the entire week that we missed so we all reluctantly got out of bed and came back to school.

"We should do that again." A voice speaks up behind me and my face immediately becomes red recognizing Jasper's familiar voice.

We haven't talked since that night, I had mumbled some lame excuse of having to pack or something and I practically raced out of there half naked ignoring his protests and avoided him during the flight back too.

"Right!"Chloe agrees sounding way too happy for someone who only had about five hours of sleep as she sits down in front of me next to Emily who was just about falling asleep on the table.

"Maybe we should all go somewhere for summer vacation." Hayley suggests from next to Chloe emphasizing 'all' giving Beckett a pointed look to which he rolled his eyes.

"From what Jasper has told me, I'm happy that I stayed here." He shot back at Hayley and we all snicker.

"Finally you guys are back." A voice says loudly and a small smile spreads across my face as I see Archer approach our table a laid back grin on his face as he sits down next to me wrapping his arm around me pulling me in closer and I place my lips on his cheek for the show of it aware that the entire cafeteria is paying close attention to all of us. Before I can say anything else to him, Jasper clears his throat from behind us.

"Brooklyn can I talk to you?" He asks and my eyes go to Hayley who shrugs like she doesn't know what's happening even though I told her on the plane.

'Go' she mouths and I let out a sigh slowly getting up and turning to him.

"Yeah let's go."

We walk out of the cafeteria trying to avoid the rest of the students not so subtle stares as we walk past them. He leads me across the hall down to an empty classroom before shutting the door and then turning to me.

"You've been avoiding me." Jasper lets out as soon as we get outside and I let out a breath of air.

"I don't know what you mean." I mutter playing dumb and he rolls his eyes giving me a pointed look.

"Yes you do, you rushed out of the room the other night and you sat as far away as you possibly could from me on the plane. Then today you greet everyone but me even kissing Archer." Jasper explains.
