After Archer and Jared left the field to go to the boy's locker room Hayley, Emily, Opal, and I all heading out to the school parking lot. Hayley waiting for Beckett and Liam who were heading back fo Liam's place to hang out. While Emily and Opal waited for Jared who offered to take them to the party happening at a teammates penthouse in the city.
"You don't think Beck and Liam stopped to do a quicky in the bathroom do you?" Hayley comments leaning back onto Liam's dark car crossing her arms over one another.
"Liam would kill you if he saw you leaning on his car." I pipe up and she sends me a cheeky grin.
"He's not here is he?"
"Liam wouldn't actually kill someone over his car would he?" Opal questions from beside Emily and I laugh.
"I would not put it past him."
Hayley snorts at the look on Opal's face before quickly getting off of Liam's car. I turn around trying not to laugh as Liam, Beckett, Jared, and Archer finally exist the school.
My eyes stay on Archer as he nears dressed in black jeans and a white hoodie with a black denim jacket over top. His dark hair is slicked back out of his face probably still wet and he had a smile on his face as they all stop in front of us.
"Are you ready to go?" He asks wrapping an arm around my waist not even bothering to get an answer before leading me to his car. I turn my head around to wave goodbye at everyone else and they wave back, while Hayley does the most and starts to make nasty gestures with her hands.
I quickly turn my head back around my face starting to go red and still hear her laughter as we stop at Archer's black Maserati. Archer open's the door for me and I slip inside.
"Have you talked with Nate or your mom since we got back?" I ask turning to look at his as he starts the car. His jaw clenches before unclenching and he shakes his head.
"I haven't."
I bite the inside of my cheek nervously wondering if I should keep on asking or just drop it because it seems like he doesn't want to talk about it. Although, these things are important and I want him to know that he can talk to me about it anytime.
"Brooklyn, I'm fine." Archer sighs snapping me out my thoughts. As we stop at a red light he turns and looks at me, I keep my mouth shut and nod not trusting myself to say anything.
"So where are we going?" I ask again trying to change the conversation still looking at him. I watch his whole body relaxes as the light turns green and we go.
"It's a surprise." He replies a small grin on his face.
"How about a hint?" I ask hopefully and he glances at me through the corner of his eye.
"You're dressed for it."
"So we're going to be outside?" I try and he shakes his head not giving anything away.
