- Chapter Thirty - Three -
"Holy crap Brooklyn, he's even hotter then I remember." Hayley breathes out excitedly as we both get into her car. I shake my head a small smile on my face.
"So how was it?" She asks as we pullout of the penthouse parking lot, I know exactly what kind of 'it' she was talking about.
"Okay." I lie looking out the window not feeling like talking at all.
"Liar." She snorts
"Did you at least get his phone number?" She asks curiously. I shake my head and I can practically feel her surprise.
"Why would you do that?" She questions and I shrug but I know exactly why.
Getting his phone number more or less means that I would have to go out with him on a date, that could obviously lead to me liking him because he seemed like a genuine person, but that would just end in him cheating on me like Jasper or Jay or maybe even something worse happening and I don't think I can go through that again. Meaningless flings mean that nobody catches feeling even more importantly nobody's feeling get hurt in the process.
"You're okay right? I know that school starts tomorrow and seeing Jasper is probably going to feel like actual hell, but I really don't want to see you go back to the way you were during the first month when we were away." Hayley confesses.
After that night at prom, the next week Chloe, Hayley, and I decided that we all need a vacation to we flew to Barbados, the first couple of weeks for me were horrible, I would go to parties every night, and hookup with random people and then end up doing the same thing the next day. I thought that doing that would take my mind off of Jasper who was back in the states probably with Emily, until Hayley finally snapped me out of it.
"Hayley, I'm fine I promise. I just wanted to have fun before we have to start school." I explain and she nods her eyes focusing on the the road obviously not believing me.
