The Zoo

*Michael's POV*

I felt a body jumping on the bed and it wasn't a small body. Who da f_(k. "Wake up! Wake up!" Of course, the baby of the band, Luke. "Come on Ash said we're going to the zoo!" He exclaimed and continued to jump. "No!" My daughter yelled, yup she's a Clifford. Only gets up for food. "Come on, we'll get to see the penguins!" He exclaimed. "Great, we'll see your crazy family." That earned me a pillow hitting my face. "Melody, Michael get up and get ready, we all are waiting to eat because of you two." Ashton said from the door with his wife and child. I groaned and got up. "Alright, alright, we're up. Now get out of our room."

I got a pair of black skinny jeans and Green Day shirt for me. Melody a 'Sing Soft Kitty to Me' *Any big Bang theory fans?* shirt and a pair of demin blue jeans. I got changed and brushed my hair and teeth before coming back to see my daughter fast asleep. I sighed and looked up, "Please, make this easy on me." I said and went to my sleeping child. "Melody, wake up. We're going to get food and then go to the zoo." I said, rubbing her arm. "Mmmm," She moaned and rolled over. I sighed, "Do you want the tickle monster!?" She stayed silent. "I'll take that as a yes!" I cheered and started tickling her. She squealed and begged me to stop. I finally did and repeated my actions, but with her. Melody wasn't her happy self today, probably hungry.

I picked her up and automatically she put her head on my shoulder. I let it go and went to the lobby, luckily no fans. I quickly found the guys and Ella, putting Melody in Calum's lap. "Why am I in charge of Melody?" He asked. "Because she's tired and hungry and you have some food left, feed her until I get back." I explained then getting eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes with orange and apple juice. I could hear Calum mimicking me, but I let it go before coming back. I took my sleepy child back. "Hungry?" She nodded with her eyes closed. For the fact of saving time, I just fed her and me with every other bite.

*At Zoo*

I can tell Melody is still tired and really, I don't want to carry her the whole time, so I got a rental stroller. To be honest, I think she was asleep while we were trying to find out where we were going first. Just getting it done and over with, we'll let Luke be happy and go to his crazy family. "Before you even ask Luke, no you cannot pet or buy one." Ella laughed. Luke pouted like a child that stepped on a dog's tail or didn't get to go to the toy store. "Is that Uncle Luke's family, Daddy?" Melody asked from the stroller. I couldn't help but laugh, "Yes baby girl, it is." When they started making their noises I laughed, "Luke, they're calling you back to your natural habitat!" He didn't even listen to me, he just stared at them. "Michael stop teasing him. You're not teaching your child right by teasing people." Ashton said. I sighed, "Okay I'll stop."

We eventually got away from the penguins and managed to get to the monkeys. I think both Peter and Melody enjoyed the Spider Monkeys. "Daddy, look they're jumping!" She exclaimed, pointing at the monkeys by the glass, since she was fully awake and wanted out. "Yes they are. Looks like fun, don't it?" She looked back and nodded before looking back at the small monkeys. "Want." Peter stated and pointed at the monkeys as they jumped from vine to vine. Ashton chuckled, "That's not happening. We can get you a stuffed monkey though." The boy on his father's shoulders pouted and put his chin on Ashton's head. "Okay, before Melody gets ideas like that, let's get going." I said and went to my daughter. "Time to say goodbye to the monkeys, baby girl." She nodded and waved at them before getting back into the stroller.

The second we saw the gorillas going at it, we just kept walking, no thank you. My daughter asks enough about stuff she doesn't need to know. We got to the lions and Melody got excited and went up to the gate with Daniel. "Daddy, look! There's Daniel!" She exclaimed and pointed at the male lion. I chuckled and stood next to her. "Yes that's a bigger version of Daniel." I confirmed. "Do you want a better look?" I ask, noticing her trying to be taller, standing on her toes. "Yes please." She answered and I bent down for her to crawl up my back to sit on my shoulders. "Wow," She breathed at the new height advantage. I held her small legs as she put her hands and Daniel on the top of my head. There were lion cubs chasing each other and it was cool to see. Ashton pointed that out for the little ones. "Look, they're playing tag with each other." He smiled.

The bears were next, not the polar bears. They were just walking around, not even roaring or anything, but Melody was scared $h*+less. She managed to get out of the stroller and cling onto my leg. "S-scary." She pointed at them. "Hey, it's okay. They're not going to hurt you." I spoke gently. She still held onto me for protection.

At the giraffes, I just about died laughing. We weren't even there for a minute. "Wuke!" Peter pointed at the giraffes. Lukes face was red as a tomato and I just laughing so hard it was hard to stand straight. "Lukey there's your family." Melody added happily. I was just dying of laughter. "Michael, calm down!" Calum ensued. I took some deep breathes, "Okay, okay. I think I'm better now." I breathed. "I hate you." Luke commented. "I love you too Lukey." I teased, pitching his cheek. "Stop it." He said and swatted my hand away. "I love when little kids are funny when they don't even try." I remarked. "Yeah, they're hilarious." He growled. "Luke, take a joke. If you're going to act like this, go back to the bears. Michael stop acting like a child." Ashton commented. Luke stuffed his hands in his pocket and continued to walk with us to the elephants.

Again, I felt Melody clinging onto my leg. I get the idea, she's not even 3 feet and the elephants are more than 4 or more times her. "You're fine. Here, they won't look so big." I picked her up and put her on my shoulders. "No, no, no! Down, down, please!" She whined close to crying. I grabbed her and put her on my hip. "Just because they're big, doesn't mean they'll hurt you." She whimpered and hid her face in my chest.

We stopped to get lunch before we go to the gift shop and back to the hotel.
I got a hot dog for Melody and a hamburger for me. I sat down by the others with Melody in my lap. "Try it." I said and brought it to her. She scrunched her nose and made a nasty look at it. I sighed and took a bite of my food. "Twy," Melody asked quietly. I tour off a piece for her. "No more after. You eat your food." I sternly said. She ripped it off for bite size pieces. I love how she knows what to do to make life easier for the both of us. For a two year old girl she's smart. Her face ended up covered ketchup *Not the dog 5sosfam* I chuckled and cleaned her off. She made a kitten yawn and lean her head on my arm. I looked down at her, "Tired little kitten?" She nodded and closed her eyes. "Not the only one." Ella laughed, pointing out her son sleeping while drolling down her shoulder with his mouth open. "My little drummer," Ashton cooed and kissed his son's temple. "Give me Melody, I feel left out of the cute baby thing." Calum demanded. I gently lefted my sleepy daughter and handed her to her uncle. "Good night my favorite niece. Sweet dreams." He sweetly said before kissing her head. "Calum you should I get a child." Ella said as Melody snuggled into his chest. "That requires finding a girl, which is too hard." He spoke. "Calum, you're in a band, great with kids, Ashton don't yell at me for this, and good looking. I bet you can find a girl." Ella explained. "You can borrow Melody for a day and play the single uncle card." I said. "Maybe. I'll think about it." He said. "Thanks for helping me out guys!" Luke laughed. "Shhh, Uncle Lukey, sleepy time." Melody whispered. "I'm sorry. Now go back to sleep." He said. "I think we should just head back to the hotel." Ashton said, motioning to the two sleeping kids. We all agreed and headed back to the hotel. Calum gave Melody back before we went to all of our rooms.
