*American Tour---sorry that I didn't do a whole bunch of other countries, but I don't want to do research and crap. It's also going to be my final week soon, so I'm not going to put that much pressure on myself.*
*New York*
"Cold," Melody mention as they were on the tour bus, she was getting a, she previously had a cold in Ireland, flu as well. "I know baby girl," Michael mention. She had a fit of sneezes that were very similar of a baby kitten's. She groaned in pain as she finished her fit.
"Come here little one, let's give you another bath." Michael mentioned and picked her up from her bunk. This was the second bath and it was only ten in the morning. Michael helped her get undressed from her pajamas. He filled the bath with plenty of bubbles and warm water. Melody had droopy sleepy eyes as Michael washed her, trying to make her warm. "Tired little one," Michael gently said. Melody nodded and then yawned. "Poor little babe." Michael muttered.
When she was done, Michael wrapped her up in a very large towel for her small size. "Daddy, want wear Daddy shirt." Melody told him. "Alright little one, I'll get some for you." Michael said and went to his suit case. He came back with a t-shirt and a sweatshirt. He put them on his little girl. The sleeves of his sweatshirt went down to her ankles. "Better little cutie?" He pecked her nose and brought her back to her bunk.
"Still cold," Melody said. Michael grabbed another blanket from the back and put that under the comforter. "Is that better baby girl?" She sadly nodded and curled into a ball with all of her stuffed animals around her.
When she woke, the poor little girl's stomach hurt. "D-Daddy," she sadly called or tried with her dry throat. Michael admittedly popped up and ran over to her. "Hey, what's wrong?" Michael asked. "Tummy hurt," she whimpered. "Hold on, I'll be right back. Are you hungry?" She shook her head. Michael got the thermometer and a sippy-cup of water. "Open your mouth," Michael commented.
Melody obeyed and Michael gently put the thermometer under her tongue. "Close your mouth until it beeps, baby girl." Michael gently told her. She obeyed and when it beeped and Michael took it out and saw her temperature was 104.7 F. "Baby girl, you're just burning up. I'm amazed that you're cold." Michael pouted for the little girl and gave her the sippy-cup. "Drink up, it'll help." He mentioned. Melody took a few gulps before coughing, luck enough that she swallowed beforehand. She groaned again and hugged Tiggs to her chest.
"Cold." Melody muttered. Michael sighed. "I'm going to make you soup, that will warm you up and help." Michael sadly smiled. Michael got up and cooked chicken noodle soup. He put some of it in a bowl and went to Melody. Michael told her to sit and blew on the soup before feeding his daughter.
When the bowl was empty, Melody made grabby hands at Michael. "Wanna cuddle," she pouted. Michael hesitated, but got in the bed with his sickly daughter. She snuggled into his side and rested her head on his chest. "Go to sleep little one." Michael cooed and rubbed her back. "Love you daddy," she shyly smiled and slept. "Love you too baby girl," Michael whispered. He grabbed his phone and took a picture of both of them with the caption, "Poor sickly one. Might not sing very good tonight. Melody needs Daddy's cuddles to stay warm." Michael tweeted.
Melody had little coughs in her sleep and would sniff, because of her runny nose, too. "Poor baby girl," Michael whispered before eventually falling asleep too.
"Michael, Michael, time to wake up!" Ashton shook his shoulder. Michael groaned and rolled over to see Ashton. "We have to go to the show." Michael gave him wide eyes. "What about Melody, I'm not bringing her to the show." Michael told him. "John is going to be watching her. We already planned that. Come on, we don't want to be late." He encouraged and Michael got up and took a shower. When he finished, he kissed his baby girl's burning forehead. "Daddy loves you Melody Anastasia." He whispered before leaving in a hurry, since they were late.
Melody woke up to her daddy nowhere in sight. "Daddy?" Melody called, hoping that he was near. There wasn't a reply. "Daddy?" Melody called again and got out of her bunk with Tiggs. She got teary-eyed as she walked to the back of the bus. Michael wasn't there, but John was.
"Hey little munchkin." He smiled at her. "Wh-where's D-Daddy?" She sniffed and let two tears fall. "He went to his concert, he didn't want you to go, because he wants you to better." John gently explained to her. Melody sadly nodded. "Let's get you some soup, is that okay?" Melody repeated her action. "Alright, you stay here, I'll get it for you." John told her and placed her on the couch.
Within an hour, Melody starting getting anxious. She started slightly hyperventilating. Melody was fearful that Michael wasn't going to come back for her. "Sweetie, I want you to copy my breathing." John softly told her and took deep breathes. Melody shook her head and continued to hypervent. "D-dizzy," she stuttered. John saw some sweat from her forehead and that she was shaking a bit. He recognized the panic attack symptoms easily. At that, he took her to the hospital. Once she was getting taken care of, he called Michael.
Michael was still on stage at the second to last song. He admittedly ran off of stage and got to the hospital as soon as he could.
He ran to the lady at the front desk. "Melody Clifford, where is she?" Michael's voice raised in panic. "I'm her father, I need to know!" Michael exclaimed. "Room 324." She calmly spoke and Michael ran to the elevator and pressed the up button many times. The elevator finally opened and Michael didn't hesitate to go in and press the 3 button. "Finally," Michael whispered as the doors opened and he followed the signs to 324.
Michael opened the door with full power and John gave him a hushing noise and motioned to Melody who was asleep. "What the fuck happened John?" Michael whispered and sat down next to him. "The doctors are discussing that now. They're pretty sure it was a panic attack." He explained. "How the hell could that be it, she's three! How could that be right?" Michael whisper yelled. "The doctors are going to test her for separation anxiety. They believe that is the leading cause." John explained calmly to the single father.
Melody made a cough and groaned before opening her eyes. "Hey baby girl," Michael gently smiled and pushed her brown hair back from her face. "You keep going off and scaring me." He whispered. "I sowwy." Melody mumbled. Michael gently nodded and kissed her forehead, "It's okay." He told her. "Daddy where are we?" She asked. Michael hesitated before answering, "We're in the hospital. Don't worry, there's doctors that are going to make sure everything is okay. Can I ask you something baby girl?" Melody nodded at her father. "Why did freak out on the tour bus?" He asked in the sweetest voice. "T-thought you w-weren't coming b-back." She stuttered. "I'm always going to come back." Michael told her.
