Right now was the time that Michael wished they made a Hot Topic for little kids. He could easily be done in one store then by getting Melody band bracelets, Green Day, Blink 182,  Nirvana, you name the band, shirts. That of course was a dream. He wouldn't be able to do that until she was a teenager, and Lord knows that no teenager girl wants to go shopping with thier dad. Just to get in a better mood for this experience, they went to the shoe store first. Melody gripped onto his hand as they got to the little girl shoes.  Then, she spot the pair, a black high top converse with  little studs on the top outer sides. She was Michael's daughter alright,  wanting to be punk rock. "Daddy, those!" She exclaimed as she pointed at the pair as Michael put down a girly tennis shoe.  This got Michael's attention, she barely talked in public, so this was big. "What pair, Melody?" He asked, going to her height. "The black ones!" She pointed to them again.  Michael eyes followed her pointing finger, his eyes getting bright when he saw them.  "Okay, let's try them on." He said as he tried to find her size in the pair.  He eventually found them, and replaced one if her shoes for the new one, making sure they fit by looking for her big toe, since every parent knew it was important. "Do you like them?" She brightly smiled and nodded.  Michael put the other shoe on, and let her walk in them, seeing how she walked in them. She walked perfectly fine in them. "You like how they feel?" She nodded again. "Okay, we'll get them." He said before purchasing them.

Before they even walked in the mall, and Michael wished he just shopped online, but Melody needed to try stuff on. As they got out of the car, Michael went to Melody's height, "Melody, you stay close to me as possible okay. Don't let go of my hand unless we're in the dressing room, alright." Michael sternly said, meaning serious business. "Stay close and don't let go of Daddy's hand," Melody confirmed while making a strong nod. Michael  shyly smiled and took her small hand into his much larger one as they walked into the mall. Michael braced himself for the worst. He didn't like going shopping by himself in the mall anymore, let alone with his daughter he could easily lose.  'It's just the one time,' He reminded himself. He wished that Jaycee had taken her, but she had to do something or another.

He didn't really focus on where he was walking in the mall and bumped into an old girlfriend (I think we all know which one) "WHY DON'T YOU-oh, hi Michael." The blonde hair girl duly stated, realizing who it was. "Abigail," He said in the same tone. Melody quickly hid behind and hugged his leg. "It's been a long time, hasn't it? I hear you have a child and her mum died, how nice." She smirked. If Melody wasn't on Michael's leg, he would've punched the b*tch. "You're so lucky that I have my daughter with me." He growled. "Oh,  may I meet her? I'm sure it wouldn't be a bother." She sweetly sneered.  Michael took a step back. "Get away from us, I don't want to see you again! If you touch her, I'll kill you and that's not a threat, it's a promise!" He snarled.  She smiled, "I hope you're daughter does learn how to suck like you, she'll be your little slut." His ex came back with. Anger grew deep and dark in him. She started to walk away, thinking she won.

"Hey," She turned the attention to him, "Say hi to the devil for me. You sure do learn from him, and make money for dancing on a pole and eating assholes!" He exclaimed at her, not really caring if some people gave him glares and nasty looks. She flipped him off, "Too late for wanting me back! Go find a guy at the corner of the street or that strip club you work at!" He smiled with pride at his come backs. She sighed, waving him off, and walked further away.

Melody looked up and grabbed his hand, "I'm sorry." She sadly said, looking down. Michael looked confused down at her, "Why baby girl?" She shyly looked up at him, "I let go of your hand." He chuckled, "It's okay, you didn't want to meet that mean lady anyways. The important thing is that you stayed close to me."  He said. "Okay," She smiled. Melody did have the question of what Michael's ex said about her. 'What does she meant by slut or sucking like you?' All that Melody knew is that it was bad and she shouldn't ask until they were home or in the car.  They went to about two or three stores before a big crowd of girls surrounded them. Michael, did his first instinct, picked Melody up and held her tight to him. "Don't let go." He sternly spoke in her ear. He took pictures with some and signed some things before hurrying out of the mob. "Daddy, did they go away?" She whimpered. "Yes they did baby girl. I'm sorry they couldn't go away sooner." He said and kissed her forehead, the risks and challenges of being a super star. It's too late for the band to stop, they would still get attention. "It okay. I'm hungry." She said. "Me too, let's go get Panda Express." He smile and lifted her up in his arms before he headed to the food court.

He got a Orange Chicken, since really who doesn't like it and the rest she doesn't eat, he'll have, since they have a bigger serving size there, and a mix of Pepsi and Dr. Pepper. "Stay close, I can't hold your hand right now." Michael said as he carried the tray of food and bags of clothing. "Okay Daddy." She said and walked while holding his pant leg. He set the bags down on the floor by his chair and the tray on the table and put Melody in his lap. He cut up some of them. "Here comes the airplane!" He giggled and made an airplane noise as he brought the food to her mouth. Sure, she outgrew that part of her life, but Michael just had to for old times sake. She happily hummed as she ate it. "Yummy, want more." She smiled. He kissed her cheek and fed both himself and her until all of it was gone and Melody was full.

Michael just wanted to go in a darker room than the children's stores. "Hey, we're going to go to a Daddy store real quick, okay?" She nodded. Michael put other bags in the biggest one, so he didn't have so much on his arms. "Do you want to walk?" He asked, now knowing Melody was very good at staying by him, unlike other children. "Yes, but still hold Daddy's hand and stay close." She said, reminding Michael that she knew. "Very good," He booped her noise and started heading to Hot Topic. He kinda did take a sigh of relief when he entered the dark, band and shows and anime loving store. For Michael, it was a miniature version of Heaven. "Hey, looking for anything in particular? " the cashier asked. Michael shook his head, "Just looking," He answered, looking for any new t-shirts on display in the back. "Wow," Melody whispered at the store in amazement, her eyes exploring each of the designs of the band shirts. Yup, she was born into and from a band lovers. Michael found a new Green Day shirt in the back and decided to educate his daughter a bit. He pointed out bands, that he liked, from the symbols and told her what was the name of them, since she couldn't read yet.

*Okay, just picture that for a second here, with any if the guys, you know they'll do this, and it'll be adorable ♡*

He got some shirts while he was, testing her to see if she remembered and she did. Michael took a good look around the store before paying for the shirts. The man cashier took noticed Melody. "New shopper?" He nudged his head at the girl, not even tall enough to pick up the pins and other small items by the cash register. "Yeah, taught her some band symbols too." Michael smiled. "You're starting her off right." The cashier said with a smile. "Thanks," Michael said before leaving the store.

"Daddy, are we done yet?" She asked while yawning a little. "Yeah, I think so, do you have to go to the bathroom before we go?"  She shook her head. "Tierd," She mumbled and made grabby hands at him. He chuckled as he picked her up, "Too much walking, huh Melody?" She nodded on his shoulder, already comfortable in his arms.

Michael invited the guys over afterwards while Melody was taling a nap. "So how was shopping?" Calum asked as he flopped on the couch. "Guess who I saw today." He said, none of them answered. "That one ex girlfriend that made that terrible song about me." He defined, without saying her name. "What did she do?" Luke asked. Michael took a deep breath, attempting not to cry or kill someone, "She smiled as she said 'I heard you have a child and her mum died.'" He gripped onto the kitchen counter. "Then, she said," He took another big breath, "'I hope you're daughter does learn how to suck like you, she'll be your," Michael swallowed, "little slut.'" The boys were quite. Then, a little toddler, who should've been taking her nap,  came up and hugged his legs, "I not be what mean lady said. I love you, Daddy." She said up to him. Michael smiled down at her. "Aren't you suppose to be asleep," He said and picked up his bedhead daughter, smoothing out her brown hair. That little girl. That's all he needed. That little girl was all he needed to be happy, because she always seemed to, theoretically, pick him up when he was done. He realized that if his flesh and blood still loved and cared for him, he didn't need anyone else to break him down like a tower of blocks.
