*I'm sorry, for Melody's age is kinda off*

After I took Melody home from my parents', it was hard to get sleep. I keep thinking about how I'm going to raise the child on my own or the newborn woke up in the middle of the night for the past months. I realize she's clingy to me, but I feel like I have to take care of her no matter what. Melody just needed enough love from me to make up for Haylie. She's wrapped around my finger since the day she was born. I can't wait until she gets older, so she can do more than poop, sleep, and eat.

*3rd Person*

Michael was just bored with his tiny little girl laying on his lap. The other single or trying for a baby boys were all busy that day. None of them had to work that day either. Luke and Calum were out looking for girls or at the mall while Ashton and his wife were trying for a baby, which kinda brought set Ashton on a bragging streak on how much they had sex. There wasn't anything on the TV either, and MIchael was just too lazy to go look for a movie or find something on Netflix to watch. So that led him to look down at his baby girl that sometimes babled and gurgled at him and maybe grabbed his fingers. The daddy soon came up with an idea. "Let's play a game, Melody." He said in a baby voice before sitting against the arm-rest and putting her on his lap. "Maybe I'll get a smile out of you then." He said then covering his eyes with his hands. "Where's Melody? Where is she?" He asked in the most ridiculous baby voice. He uncovered his eyes, "There she is!" He brightly smiled and kissed her forehead. Melody look at him with big hazel eyes with a face that read, 'you are so stupid daddy.' She was just unimpressed by him today. Michael gently grabbed her chubby wrists before covering her eyes. He made his voice high pitch and baby-like before speaking, "Where's Daddy? Where is he?" Then he uncovered her eyes and spoke, "Here I am." Before making the poor girl clap. "You are just a tough cookie today aren't you." He commented as she closed her eyes before a dangerous smell came from her. Michael swore the most he ever had after he got Melody. "Okay, Ms. Sticky, I gotta change foods on you now." He groaned before getting a new diaper and wipes from behind the couch. "You are just the nastiest baby when comes to taking a dump, I swear. You're worse than Luke for crying out loud." He mentioned before changing the diaper and throwing it away. Melody let out a small yawn before practically belly flopping onto Michael's chest. She tried to fight her tiredness by army crawling up Michael's chest and put her hands on his face so they could face each other. "Your so silly." He remarked. She made a gurgling noise and tapped his cheeks with both of her hands. "Are you beating me up, baby girl? You're such a tough girl. You're going to keep the boys off for me." Michael remarked and patted her back. She brought her slimy hand into his mouth. He made a nasty look before taking her baby hand out. She sighed and nuzzled into his neck. "Tired little girl?" Michael asked, patting her back then having a burp come into his ear. "Was that nice, baby girl?" He chuckled, "I bet it was." She yawned before closing her eyes. "Well, Melody, I think your nap time." He said before standing up and gently walking and putting her in the crib.

*Time Skip and Michael's POV*

I took her out of her crib as she fussed. "It's okay, I got you. I'm going to change you then it's going to bath time." I tell her. She calmed as I pick her up. I made funny faces at her as I got rid of the nasty diaper and carried her to the bathroom. She snuggled into me as I started the water for her bath, since her small body must have been cold. She whimpered as I brought her to her baby tub. Melody squeaked when she touch the surface of the water. "Shh, it's okay. We just need to get you clean." I say quickly and set her in the water. She looked at me with sad, pleading to get out eyes as I washed her tiny body. "I know, but you need it." I said, trying not to have the baby soften me up too much. She started to cry as I washed her hair. "I'm almost done baby, I promise." I say softly and quickly. I hated seeing my child cry. I rinsed the small bundle of brown hair. "All done, no more bath." I say as I dried her off. I dressed her in a warm footie pajamas she didn't cry anymore. She made grabby hands at me, "Can you say Dada or Daddy?" I asked in a baby voice. She made gurgling sounds, but not what I wanted. "Close enough," I said and picked her up.

I kept waiting for her to say her first word, but all I got was noises. She could take a few steps with me holding her hands, but gives up once when I let go or after about 10 steps. I guess I could handle her crawling for now. I put her beside her baby toys as I watched TV. Nothing happened of course. She only cried then I fed her the baby food and blueberries. 'I can wait another day, I guess.' I thought as I put her down to sleep, hopefully the rest of the night. "Night, night, Melody. Sweet dreams." I said and covered her with her blankets and went to sleep in the room across the hall.

*Next Morning*

Crying, nothing but crying did I wake up to. "F*ck," I looked at the clock, "Melody Anastasia Lyric Clifford!" She is going to be the death of me. It's four, four in the morning. I groaned and threw the comforter off of me. I saw her standing up in her crib with face red and tear covered. "Baby girl, why do you have to take a dump so early in the morning? Daddy is trying to sleep." I said as I picked the baby up. She took an easy time with me changing her this surprised me since I wasn't making goofy faces at her. She sobbed as I attempted to put her in the crib. "Alright, alright. You can stay with me." I sigh and went to my bed with her on my chest. She always repeated what she did the day she was born with my chest hair. Melody made little baby noises, I thought she was going to say her first word when she just fell asleep. I just went to sleep with her.

I felt my finger in Melody's mouth as I woke up once again. "Good morning Melody." I muttered without opening my eyes. I felt my finger leave her wet mouth and her crawl up me. I felt her tap my face and make noises. I opened my eyes, "Hey baby." I said. She smiled down at me, "Daddy!" My eyes went wide and I wrapped my arms around my daughter, "Yes baby girl, I'm your daddy!" This makes up for the four o'clock in the morning. "I love you baby girl!" I cheered.

Later that day I got her a Spider-man bear, since she always makes grabby hands at it when we pass one. she deserved something.
