She felt the car stop and Danny unbuckled her and removed the blindfold. Melody admittedly looked out to see a depressing graveyard that had a few flowers at peoples graves. "What a wonderful place." Melody scarcassticly remarked as she continued to look out the window, seeing an only tree that was on top of a hill with orange and red leaves on the branches. "Melody, we don't encouraged baby Ryan to have an attitude. Don't have one." Vince said in a warning voice. She smirked and lightly laughed. "Well, come on, we're not going to find your mum in here." Vince spoke and got out of the car. Melody's eyes grew large and looked at the other boys as they got out of the car. "You can't be serious!" Melody exclaimed. "Oh we are." Vince called as they headed up the hill. She walked the rows, seeing many unknown people's names. "Found it!" Danny exclaimed. Melody quickly ran over to where he was, trying not to trip over any gravestones. He was over by the edge of the shade of thd tree.
She walked over as she was five steps away and the other guys standing in front of her mum's gravestone. Melody took a heavy breath and had one more step before sitting on her knees and looked at it.
'Haylie M. Clifford
April 3rd 1996- Aug. 3rd 2019
R.I.P.'Melody swallowed and touched the grave, sightly feeling sick recognizing the death date as it was her birth. "What are you thinking?" Danny asked. "How I've never been this close to her. I-I never even seen her grave. Didn't even know where it was." Melody explained and looked down and cocked her head, seeing a folded photo frame face down (You know the ones that can have 3 in them and can fold) She grabbed it. The guys took interest in it and sat next to her. Melody felt a lump in her throat before opening it. There was a stack of letters in it. She grabbed the top one.
From Michael
To my darling wife
HaylieThat's what the envelope said. Melody opened it.
It's been sixteen years Haylie. I still miss your beauty both in and out. I wish you could be here still. Shit, I don't think I wish you aren't here. Then again, I think of the drama that's happening between Melody and me and think that you'll be disappointed in me.
But today went well. God, she's now sixteen! I wonder what the hell happened. It feels like yesterday that I got her in my life and a new beginning and ending happened. Melody just grew up too fast in front of my eyes. I nearly cried the day that Jaycee brought her home from the mall with a Victoria's Secret bag!
Yeah, let's not bring up she had her period. I about had a panic attack and died. Jaycee laughed at me both times. Then mentioned how I would have to get birth control pills soon. I wanted to buy locks for the windows. Jaycee said no and you would say no too."Melody I'm glad you hit puberty." Ryan laughed. Melody punched his arm. "Shut the fuck up. I'm surprised your balls dropped." She sassed.
Melody is still friends with Vince and Ryan. Every time she asks me if they can come over, I think of when they were in preschool together and came over to play with Legos and Hot Wheels. Then when they would pretend they were lions in the jungle. Then when their in high school and cracking jokes, and it kind of hurts. The guys are almost like my second kids.
"I think your dad loves us more than we think. I think I'm going to call him Daddy Michael the next time I see him." Ryan laughed. Melody shook her head, "You're going to be banned from my house or something down those lines." She stated. "We'll see about that." Ryan said.
I think Ryan is whipped by Melody and Vince. He is still a little comedian, kinda a perv too, but he keeps Melody safe. So he hasn't felt my foot go up his ass yet, or security beating him up.
"Ryan, I'd watch out for my dad the next time you see him." Melody chuckled. "Why the fuck did he call me little!" Ryan yelled. "Because you're like this big." Vince laughed holding up his pinky finger. "You wanna see!" Ryan stood up, his hands going in his boxers. "Ryan Edward Wade! No, bad boy! Keep your pants on!" Melody exclaimed. "Melody Anastasia, Ryan Edward both of you be quiet, we are in a graveyard. Ryan get your hands out of your pants right now." Vince scolded them. They both closed their mouths and obeyed. "Good children." Vince spoke and opened his arms to Danny, "Very good child." He said and kissed his temple. "Yuck!" Danny exclaimed and crawled over to Melody. "What the hell!" Danny exclaimed and Vince slapped Danny's ass as he crawled. "Don't say bad words." He scolded playfully. Melody sat in Danny's lap and his hands wrapped around her waist and put his head on her shoulder.
Vince is like the Ashton of that group. Like if Ryan goes and tries to run down the road naked, he'll somehow stop him. He keeps them in line like Ash did in 2013 like the "Don't swear " line.
"Didn't that just happen?" Ryan chuckled. "Yeah, it did." Danny agreed. "Both of them actually, but you didn't try to run down the road." Melody added. "Oh shut up," Vince whined. "Now, Vince, we can't encourage Ryan to get an attitude." Melody scarcassticly remarked.
Melody is so fucking beautiful and she yells at me every time I try to take a picture of her. She still has your eyes and my face shape, especially since she went through...that awful word. Melody is very skiddish when she's around people who she doesn't know. She'll get tense and self-conscious when she walks around the studio. I have thought about getting her in therapy, but I know that will only make things worse. I am having trouble with her recently. She is in a phrase where she has....gained an attitude. I still miss your patience and understanding , I could really use some of that right now. It's been a real struggle, I'm trying to live and fight through it, but it just leads us to fighting.
I know I'm the dick dad to her. I don't understand why though. She always adored me before she hit thirteen. It's just a puzzle I can't solve with her. I love our baby girl, but it hurts to hear the words come out of her mouth. Then again, maybe I deserve them for leaving for months that have important events for her in them. Haylie, what would you do?Love your Husband,
MikeyMelody couldn't look at another one, not today. She set the stack to the side and looked at the pictures. The first one was Haylie and Michael kissing in front of a small coffee shop, by the looks of their surroundings like the English flag and grey sky and puddles, she guest they were in London. The middle was the typical first dance on the wedding night of them. Their eyes locked together and they looked as if they were singing along with the song, whatever it was. The last was them laying on the couch together, featuring Melody inside of Haylie, but then saw the date in the corner of the picture. "That doesn't add up right." She said, completely confused. "What do you mean?" Vince asked. "That date is way too early for be to be in the picture. I've done the math for me, late November 2021. This is March 2, 2018." Melody pointed out. The boys shared a shrug. "This isn't the couch at home either. The one at home is leather, this is patterned and some other material." She added. "I-I could've had a big brother or sister. No, I couldn't have. Dad never mentioned it. Maybe she just gained weight at that time. Yeah. That makes sense." Melody told herself.
They drove away from the graveyard ten minutes later. "Bye guys." Melody said and Danny pecked her cheek. "Sweet dreams." He smiled. "I'll try. She said and left the car, going into her house.
