I ate on the couch as I waited for my daughter to wake up. Her personality has definitely became more of mine though. She's for sure a daddy's girl. Melody is shy as shy can be. It's been two years as she known my band mates, but is still a bit timid around them at times. Ash has a one year old boy and she doesn't even go near him. I really hope she grows out of this phase. She's a good kid, but quieter than snow falling in the summer.

I heard the little patter of feet coming down the hall. "Hi Daddy!" My daughter said and hugged my legs. "Hi my beautiful Melody." I said and picked her up and put her in my lap, facing me, and kissed her cheek. She giggled, "Daddy you're pwickly." I laughed, I always had her to tell me when to shave. "Do I need to shave?" I asked. She nodded her head. "Can you help me?" I asked, knowing she loves to put the shaving cream on my face. Her eyes went bright and wider, "YES Daddy!" Melody cheered.

I barely let her put it on me ever since she attempted to put some in my mouth on purpose. I picked her up and walked to the bathroom, setting her on the counter. I put the cap off, "Remember don't put any above Daddy's nose or in his mouth." I tell her as I put some on her hands. She nodded and obeyed. I don't know why she loves it so much, but one of her favorite things. Her small hands softly glided across my face with the cream, finally one of her fingers went across the top of my lip. "All done." She happily stated and clapped. "Okay wash your hands and keep the water running for me." I tell her and start shaving. "Otay," She says and has the water take off the remaining cream. Once when I was done and she brushed her teeth I kissed her cheek again, "Better?" I asked. "Much better!" She cheers and kisses my cheek.

I led her to the kitchen, "Are you hungry?" I asked, prepared to make cereal. "Yup," Melody answered. I made her a bowl of frosted flakes and a small bowl of grapes and blueberries. "Daddy we go whewe?" She asked, putting some fruit in her mouth. "Maybe to Uncle Ash's or the studio." I told her. "Otay, I wike going to Uncle Ashy's." She cutely spoke before eating strawberry and a berry.

*Skip time and their at Ashton's*

"Hey cutie, how are you?" Ashton's wife, Ella, asked. Melody hid behind my leg that she wrapped her arms around. Ella sighed, knowing it was one of her stubborn days. Ella came back up to eyesight with me. "Keep being a great dad Michael, she needs you. Every little girl needs her father. Especially ones that don't have a mother." Ella explained. "I know, I'm going to be there for her as if my life depended on it. She's my life other than the band." I spoke and went down to the basement where the built in studio is.

"Stay here with your uncles, I got to record." I told my daughter. She nodded talked to her spider-man bear on the couch as I went to record. She always loved my singing, sometimes that was the only way to get her to sleep. When I got done, I saw my little daughter asleep on Ash's lap. "You're voice is so punk rock it brought your daughter to sleep, Michael." He joked. "I'm glad we're not playing instruments today. I don't want her to wake up, she had a rough night." I explained. I picked Melody up, so Ash could get his recording done. "I can wait for my kid to have nightmares." He told me. I nodded, "Sometimes it's just as bad as a baby getting sick, if not worse." I explained. "Dang, poor Melody." He said with a bit of surprise.

"I'm just glad that she hasn't asked about her mother yet. I know it will come eventually, but even though it's been two years, I'm still sensitive about Haylie being brought up. Sometimes it hurts a bit to look at Melody because she looks so much like her mother." I told him. I swayed my body so Melody can stay asleep easier. "Michael, it will come up, and you can't just brush it off your shoulder like Haylie meant nothing to you because that's what Melody will think." He told me what I already knew. "I know Ash, I'm glad it isn't going to be mentioned for a while." I spoke and sat down on the couch. He shrugged, "Keep being a good dad." He said and ruffled my hair before he went to record. My daughter snuggled into me. "I'm here baby girl." I muttered and kissed her head.

"She's a daddy's girl, isn't she?" Calum asked as he sat beside me. "You have no idea. It's cute though, a little annoying, but cute." I tell him. He shyly smiles, "I think she'll be a little heart breaker or be the shy girl in the back of the library." I smirked at him, "She'll be an actual good girl, not one from the song we made. Hopefully, she'll be smart." I said. Calum looked at the girl care and thoughtfully, "I don't know. I could see her coming home with a biker that doesn't give a sh*t about school, gets into fights, tattoos, piercings, a typical bad boy that no dad will want to see their daughter with. She'll be sweet, but she'll want a bad boy." I glared at him. "Let's not talk about that and don't swear, I don't need her saying anything like that yet." I covered my daughters ears even though she was still asleep. He just playfully rolled his eyes, "Okay Ash." He laughed. I heard Melody whimper and I reached for her Spider-man toy in case she was going to wake up because of a nightmare.

She did, not with a nightmare, but within a minute. Her little fist rubbed her eyes. "Hi Melody, did you have a nice nap?" Cal asked. Her hazel eyes opened up and looked over at him. Being in her wake-up time, she just nodded her head. "Still a little tired?" I asked. She nodded again and put her head on my chest. Then she realized her spider wasn't beside her.

Her eyes opened again and looked over at the other side. I teased her and put the stuffed toy behind my back. She put her eyebrows down towards her eyes like an arrow pointing down. "What?" I asked, pretending to be clueless. "You have him!" She growled. I gave her a confused look, "Who do I have, Melody?" I continued my act. "Spidey! You're hiding him!" She demanded and crawled off my lap. She pulled the toys out from behind my back, "See, you hid him." She proved and hugged the bear that looked close to her size. "No I didn't that was Uncle Calum." I protested. Melody gave him a nasty look, "Meanie." She stated and hugged her bear tightly. "I'm not a meanie, I didn't hide it either. That was your daddy." He said. "No, you did hide him." She argued and pointed her finger at him. "Daddy wouldn't lie to me." She softly added.

Cal just shook his head and let her win. "But I'm your favorite uncle right?" He asked. Melody shook her head with a smile, "Nope." She clearly stated. "Why aren't I?" He gasped. Melody shrugged her shoulders at his question. "Who is your favorite uncle then?" He asked. She thought about it for a while. "Uncle Ashton," She answered. "What about me?" Ashton asked as Luke went into the studio. "I can't even look at you!" Calum exclaim like a dramatic girl. My daughter giggled at her uncle Cal. Ashton sat down, "Why is Calum pretending to cry?" He asked. "Simply because he isn't Melody's favorite uncle." I stated, almost laughing. "I'm your favorite, right Melody." He said happily. She giggled and nodded her head, before crawling over to her favorite uncle. Ashton blew raspberries on her cheeks as she laughed until she made a pig snort. "Are you a piggy Melody?" He asked her. She shook her head no. "Then why did you make a piggy noise?" He asked. She shrugged her shoulders, being her shy self. "I think you're lying to me. Do you know what liars get?" She shook her head. "The tickle monster!" Ash said in a deeper voice and started tickling her until she squealed at him to stop.

Melody crawled over to me, "Daddy, I'm hungry." She stated. "Ash, can we steal some food?" I asked. "Yeah, we got some goldfish." Melody's went wide, she loves goldfish. "Do you want goldfish, Melody?" She nodded her head, "Yes, yes, yes, yes!" She cheered. I kissed her forehead, "Goldfish it is." I said and brought down the goldfish in a bowl. I put in a mix of the colorful ones and the regular. I'm so glad I don't have to feed her anymore.

*Sorry if this one and maybe the next few chapters sucked, I wrote these a long time ago, and probably during class, so bare with me*
