Melody closed her eyes and adjusted her pillow and pulled her blakets closer she lifted her legs, having her body being covered by blanket, Danny's sweatshirt, and her sweatpants. Then, she felt herself fall asleep.

Her dream, for once, was warm. It waa a spring night at the beach. The tide was calm, just the way she enjoyed it.

She started humming a tune, it was a true mixture of happy and sad. Melody closed her eyes and started to sway. The temperature changed and she could no. longer hear the waves crashing on the shore.

She opened her hazel eyes to see a place completely unfamiliar. Instead of sand, she was sitting on grass. The crashes of the waves were replaced with people talking and laughing. Melody looked to the sound of the talking, and noticed around ten people in lawn chairs surrounding a firepit. Melody wasn't sure what to do, she was hesitate to even move.

None of the people were recognized to her brain. A short woman walked over to her. Then Melody realized who she was. "Mum, where am I?" She asked. "You're at my house, come on these people haven't seen you since you were born." Haylie told her with a smile and took her hand. Melody noticed how cold her hand was, almost pulled away, but knew she had to stay brave.

Melody noticed how everyone there were in pairs basically. "Melody, this is your Grampa Bryan and Grandma M," Haylie motioned to a woman with short brown hair with a tan that was next to a man with a shaved head and a scratchy looking beard that had a similar length of his hair.

Haylie brought her to the next pair and continued around the circle before Melody asked her to go in the house. They did and Melody felt like crying, she had a different family and she only met them once. Why? She started crying in the kitchen. Haylie admittedly embraced her. "Was it too much for one time?" Melody nodded and Haylie brushed her hair gently. "You know that there's always another family to be discovered and that they will help you through everything. I met those crazy people, other than my mother, when I was nine. They're the best family I've ever had and was so happy when your father and his family brought me in too. It's kinda scary to think that people you don't have any idea who they are, are watching over you. Believe me, you're part of more than you think you are, my beautiful child. I know you never knew this, but a mixture of Ford, Sigafus, and Clifford in you is a great mix in one body, you. You are able to stand up for yourself from being a Sigafus, even if you have never known. You can be loud and sometimes on the crazy side from being a Ford, and music and the sense of adventure from being a Clifford then the rest is whatever you want to be. You're something special." Haylie explained with some praise at the end. "You're a special person, no questions asked." Haylie's voice was softer and the vision of the house was fading like a fog lifting. "Wait! No! I want to know more!" Melody cried out as the air lifted her.

Melody shot up in her bed and looked all around, nothing was different. She was disappointed.
