Melody woke up to the smell of her favorite breakfast, blueberry pancakes and bacon, she stretched and noticed Danny wasn't beside her. She turned her head and noticed Ryan laying on the pull out couch with nothing on him but boxers, not even a blanket covering him. Melody started to get out of bed as Christina, Ryan's mum, came from the kitchen. She shook her head as spotted her son. Then a sad smile had changed her face as she walked over to her teenage son. Christina covered his body up with the blanket and brushed back his ginger hair from his face so gently that she was afraid he'd turn into ashes in front of her if she didn't.
"You're so grown up." She whispered and walked back to the kitchen. Melody got off of the couch and walked into the kitchen to see Ryan's little sisters and her boyfriend and Vince. It amazed her that Patricia, his younger sister, was now twelve and then Jody was nine. The two girls had brunette hair and matching eyes that had brown irises like Ryan and their mother. Dennis, their father didn't appear around when they were at the Wade household.
"Melody!" Jody exclaimed and ran up and hugged her. "Hey little bear, what's going on?" She always called Jody 'Little bear' because Jody used to growl at her. "I got a A on my math test!" She exclaimed. "Jody, calm down, your brother and father are still sleeping." Christina remarked. The little girl blushed in a reply. "That's wonderful, little bear." Melody told her. "Hey Melody," Patricia greeted in a mellow voice. "Hi Marie," she replied. She knew Patricia wanted to be called by her middle name.
Them a pair of arms wrapped around her waist and a pair of lips kissed her cheek. "Good morning, MJ." Danny remarked in her ear. "I hope I get a boyfriend like Danny when I get older." Jody remarked. Melody smiled and shook her head. Danny hugged her tighter and laid his head on her shoulder.
Mr. Wade came down into the living room and noticed his son. Mr. Wade was a lawyer, the exact opposite of what Ryan wanted to do. The father shook the son's shoulder. Ryan groaned and rolled over. Dennis Wade had brown matching hair, which was starting to turn thinner everyday. "Ryan Edward!" He demanded and Ryan groggily opened his eyes and sat up, "Yes sir?" Ryan groaned with a dull face. "Don't go back to sleep, your mother made breakfast." He said and Ryan groaned and grabbed the sweatpants from the side of the couch.
"Vincey, help a friend out," Ryan whined as his arms were stretched out to him. Vince walked over to him and pulled him off the mattress. Mrs. Wade made her husband coffee and put some whiskey in it and handed it to him. "Thank you, dear." He said and took a sip of it. "Good morning Daniel, Melody, Vincent." He greeted Ryan's friends. "Hey Dennis," Melody only replied. Christina put the pancakes and bacon on the table abd everyone sat down together. "How's your father?" He asked. "Good, he's no longer in the band. Only helps write with them, so that's really nice." Melody answered and served herself a pancake and two slices of bacon. "We're thinking about going to London for a week in the summer." She added. "What's there?" He asked and took another drink. "Well, I haven't been there since I was like seven and we wanted to go somewhere. I suggested it." She explained. "That sounds wonderful, Melody." Christina mentioned. Melody nodded.
"Dad," Ryan started to see if his mum had put the liquor in the coffee, "why doesn't a scuba diver dive forward?" He asked. "Because otherwise he would land in the boat, my dear son." Dennis remarked and Ryan had an inner laugh. Christina winked at her son to confirm what he was thinking.
"Have any of you started applying for collegs yet?" Dennis asked. "I started looking, haven't applied to any yet." Danny answered. "What do you plan on doing, according to Ryan you're a Jack of Trades." He asked. "Music, I have an eye out for the producing part of it. I wouldn't want to perform and go on tour and such." He explained. "Humble," he mentioned. He looked at Melody, "Does Ms. Melody agree with that?"
Ryan nearly spat out his pancake. "Ryan calm down before you choke my poor boy." Christina remarked. "My little baby boy," Dennis made the fake coo and pinched his cheek. Vince even let out a laugh at the sight. "I remember when you used to walk around the house with your little blanket and didn't want anything but a diaper on." Ryan blushed while everyone else laughed.
"You had all the pain tolerance in the world with that blanket. You even ran into a block building and giggled as you landed on them. You would've cried your eyes out if you didn't have your blanket with you." Dennis remarked as he made Ryan as red as his hair while the others laughed. "Thanks for this, Mum. Really enjoy it." Ryan scarcassticly remarked to her. She got up and kissed his cheek as she took the empty plates. "It's true my little ginger son." She told him sweetly. Ryan rubbed his cheek and his dad started talking again. "Whatever happened to your blanket?" He questioned. Ryan looked at the others for an answer. "Secret spot." Vince answered. "Where is this secret spot?" Dennis asked. "If I answered it wouldn't be a secret anymore, don't worry though. It's safe." He answered and the lawyer turned to the young couple of children and started talking.
It must have been when the group had left, going to their homes.
