Michael sat in the studio and wrote down his new idea. He honestly was slightly thinking of his daughter growing up too. She was going to be in The Phantom of the Opera and then bs sent off to college. He truly did hope and pray that Melody would go into music. Michael really wanted her to. In Michael's eyes, there was not many reasons why she couldn't. She knew how to play piano, guitar, some base, and violin. Not to mention how that girl could sing. She hit notes above the staff for a whole note! Michael could see her going the theatre way. Many roles she could pull off too. Melody could easily get into character and act it out like no big deal.
"Hey Michael," Alex Gaskarth remarked as he walked in. "Hi Alex, how's it going?" Michael asked. "Good, what about you? Hear your little girl isn't so little anymore and is picked to be in some musical." Alex replied. "Melody is going to be in The Phantom of the Opera, Christine Daaé. It means a lot to her. I heard her sing one of the songs in the shower this morning. I'm happy and excited for her." Michael explained to the singer of All Time Low.
"Does she know what's she is going to do in college or if she's not going?" Alex questioned him. "She is going to college. I don't know what school or what for. I want her to go into music so much. Melody has the personality for it and knows what goes on. My God, you need to hear her sing! Better than me and Luke put together." Michael spoke with a smile on his face. "Wow! That's impressive." Alex mentioned with wide eyes. "What if she doesn't want to go into music though?" Alex felt like he needed to ask. Michael connected his eyes with the sheet music. He didn't like that thought.
"Michael, there is a chance that she doesn't want to go into the music industry." Alex told him, trying to be gentle. A familiar laugh broke from the hallway. Michael smiled in return before a Melody came in on Danny's back. "Dad, is it okay if you can teach Danny how to do somethings with producing and editing music?" Melody asked. "Yeah, sure." Michael answered and finished off the lyric he was working with. "You go in the studio and sing something, so I can show him how it works." Michael said. "Hi Melody," Alex remarked. "Hi Alex," she replied and went into the sound booth, putting the headphones on in front of the mic.
Michael explained Danny how to start and stop a recording and how to talk to them. "Okay Melody, go ahead and sing." Michael said. "What song?" Melody questioned. Michael answered, "One of the songs from Phantom of the Opera." Melody nodded then spoke, "Danny in my bag, I have my music folder, cam you grab it for me?" Danny grabbed and gave it to her.
Melody flipped through to find a song with a solo for her. "You were once my one companion, you were all that mattered. You were once a friend and father, then my world was shattered." Melody sang 'Wishing you were Somehow Here.'
Michael showed Danny how to do things with her voice or to add background noises while Alex listened to her a miraculous voice. He added a few tips every now and then, but was still amazed. Yes, he knew that she was Michael's daughter, but she had a different tones and had a knowledge of how to make it heavy and light. And that she was only seventeen.
"Holy shit! That's a great voice!" Jack announced as he walked in. Melody didn't notice him since it was soundproof and her was on the music. "That's like a female and then some Alex." He added and Alex laughed at him. "She's even better than that." Danny spoke. "I bet you heard even higher notes. Huh Danny?" Jack winked. Michael gave him a glare. "Well, according to Michael she's still a virgin, so you haven't." Jack said and sat down in the chair in between him and Alex.
Melody huffed as she finished the song and took off the headphones then walked out of the booth. "Hi Jack," she said and sat on Danny's lap. "Hi Melody, so I have a question for you. You need to answer honestly. "Okay," she replied. "Are you or are you not a virgin?" He asked with a smirk. Melody blushed and was thankful her back was to Michael as she mouthed no.
He leaned back with a smirk. Melody didn't know how to reply. Jack pointed to Danny and gave her a questioning look. She nodded back and Jack smiled and gave her a thumbs up. Melody nodded and kissed Danny's cheek. Danny smiled back at her.
"You should've heard how Jack
talked about how you sing, Mel." Alex remarked. Melody glared at him. "Sorry, Melody. Didn't you were still touchy about that." Alex said.
"I've always hated it." She stated. "Well, anyways, you should've heard Uncle Jack's praising." He said.
"Do I really want to hear them?" Melody questioned.
"For once they were really good." Alex remarked to her. Melody looked at Jack. "What? They actually were!" He exclaimed. "Okay, what were they?" Melody asked. "That it's like a female and then some of Alex." Jack answered. "You could go far with that." Jack added. Michael's ears perked for the reply. "I...um..." She stumbled on her words. "You could baby girl, I can help you." Michael added, getting excited at the thought."I got to go to the bathroom." Melody announced and left the room. She got in the room and started to cry. Melody didn't want to disappoint her dad again. Her cries grew to sobs and she managed to throw up in the trash. "Melody," it was Alex. Melody huffed as she splashed water on her face, having the redness go away somewhat on her face. The door and Alex appeared. He got a paper towel and dried her face. "You don't want to go into music, do you?" Alex said and Melody shook her head and hugged him, crying into him again. "Hey, shh, shh, I think you're overreacting some, Melody." He comforted her, rubbing her shoulder. "Why not?" He asked. "I don't think I would have had my...OD.. if he had quit the band. I'm a victim of the music industry. I could only go as far as theatre I'm college or be a music teacher. That's it." Melody confessed. "Do you want me to tell him?" Melody nodded. "Okay, now you stay here, I'll send Danny and Jack to you so it's only adults talking." Melody laughed and nodded. "I knew I could get a laugh from you." He remarked before walking out of the bathroom.
*Next Day*
Melody noticed how Michael grew quiet to her and had a hard time looking at her. Melody knew he wouldn't like the truth, but Melody did know that he would understand that week.
*I don't know about you guys, but I think that Crystal and Michael are turning into a better relationship every time they post with each other (even though it makes me sad :'(... They are way better than Luke's...I'm my opinion.
May I just relate them to The Beauty and the Beast for a second. Michael girls are like the Beast when he yells, "GET OUT!" At first, but Michael is like the other characters making us fall in love with her.
