Night One of The Phantom of the Opera

It was in the song, 'Think of Me,' when Melody found Michael, Danny, Calum, then Ryan and Vince. She was half tempted to wave, but just smiled brighter, a honestly fully true, smile and sang louder to them.

Melody tried her best not to think of Danny as the Phantom took her down to his lair. "I brought you down here for one purpose. My music. My music." The Phantom sang. He then began to approach her. "Night time, sharpens heightens each sensation
Darkness stirs and wakes imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defenses." Alex guided her out of the boat.

"Slowly, gently night unfurls its splendor. Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender. Turn your face away from the garish light of day." The Phantom touched her cheeked and turned it away from the audience. "Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light. And listen to the music of the night." He showed her the mini model of the Opera Populaire theatre.

"Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams." He ran up a few of the steps, "Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before! Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar. And you'll live as you've never lived before." His voice raised as did his gloved hands.

"Softly, deftly, music shall caress you
Hear it, feel it secretly posses you
Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind. In this darkness that you know you cannot fight. The darkness of the music of the night." He had brought Christine to where he previously was.

"Let your mind start to journey through a strange new world!
Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before." He wandered around the candles, "Let your soul take you where you long to be!" He face her again. "Only then can you belong to me." He sang softly.

"Floating, falling, sweet intoxication." His hands wandered her torso and lightly on her leg before he grabbed her hand. Now Melody really didn't want to know what Danny was thinking. "Touch me, trust me savor each sensation. Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in! To the power of the music that I write.
The power of the music of the night." Alex then showed her the waxed version of Christine and Melody faked a faint, causing Alex to pick her up and carry her to the bird shaped bed and laid her in it.

"You alone can make my song take flight. Help me make the music of the night." He held the word night for a good while as the curtain closed.

Melody adjusted once more in the terribly uncomfortable pink dress. "Do we have to start calling you Ms. Daaé?" A recognized voice asked. "Ryan," she remarked and hugged him. "Warning, Danny is pissy about the Music of the Night scene." He whispered into her ear. "I figured." She whispered back. "Just can't get over his flaw called jealousy." He whispered before her dressing room door opened again.

"Hey baby girl, you're doing wonderfully." Michael complemented her and kissed her temple. "I'm so proud of you. You have so much talent. I couldn't even imagine what you're mother would be saying." He explained with love. Then, Vince walked in too. It seemed like a scary movie, the tension rises for the scare. Vince admittedly brought her to a hug, no words exchanged. They hadn't seen each other since the day after graduation and it felt like they were missing part of their worlds. Then sniffles came from Vince, "No, don't cry then I will." Melody attempted not to cry. "I missed you, Melody." He whispered. "I missed you too, Vince." She whispered back to him.

"Eh-hm!" It was loud and attention catching. Melody let her arms undrape around Vince's body. A shy smile appeared on Melody's face as she looked at Danny. His face was grim, a look Melody was not use to or even familiar with.  She never that on Danny before, even his blue eyes darkened. This was not a Danny anyone would recognize. "Danny, there's nothing wrong, it's just acting." She stated. Danny let out a fake breath of laughter. "Melody, what I saw wasn't acting. I saw the lust between you two. I know you Melody, that was the actual look of a feeling you should for me."

"Wait, you think there's something going on between Alex and me?" Melody asked with disbelief. "I'm not thinking it, I know it." Danny told her cooly. Melody walked over to him, "You better be on some medication to think that I would cheat on you." She stated in a warning voice. "No, I don't. I can see it clearly," he replied unemotionally. Melody slapped him, enough pressure for a bruise to appear on him the next day, then kicked him in the balls. He cupped himself and was crouched down. "Get out, I have to finish getting ready." She growled.

When the musical reached the point when Christine and The Phantom kissed, Melody put it in her own hands to make it look more realistic.

Then, the end appeared before bows. Melody waited until the end. Of the leads, it went Raoul, the Phantom, and then Christine. Melody put herself in between them and they bowed together. Then they walked up, hands together, and raised their and then bowed again.

They then formed a line in the nearby hallway. Towards the end, Melody was surprised to see Danny. She scowled at him. Then, his eyes softened and his body followed that pattern. "I'm sorry, I was jealous. I was scared that it was real. I get it if you want me to leave and never look at you again." Danny apologized to her, in the most honest voice Melody heard. "Is that you or your dick talking?" She asked with harshness. "That's all me, my soul is saying that Melody. Please forgive me." He begged. She lightly smirked at him. "Prove it to me, physically." She whispered into his ear. Danny walked up to her and placed one hand on the back of her head while the other was on the small of her back then leaned in and kissed her in a way that Melody nearly molded into him. Danny picked her up and twirled her in a circle in the air as they continued to kiss. A few peopled 'oooed' like little kids. Then there were others that cheered.

"I'm so sorry," he whispered. "I forgive you." He kissed her forehead, "I love you." He rested his head on hers. "I love you more." Melody answered. He hummed back with his face scrunched up. "Mr. Rab, I prefer if you put down Ms. Clifford. She still has a second night to preform. You should know that." Mr. Jacobs stated and Danny obeyed. "Goodnight Ms. Daaé." Danny said and left.
