Visiting

Danny breathed as he held a get better teddy bear in his hand before knocking on the door, given no reply. He quietly walked into the room. "H-Hey MJ," Danny stuttered as he sat next to her and held her hand. "I miss you so much. I miss your cute little smile and laughter. I miss your kisses. Today, Ryan and Vince started fight over chicken nuggets at lunch. We're friends with idiots." He awkwardly chuckled. "I-I um brought music. I know you're a fan of the Sleeping with Sirens cover of 'Iris.' You said you always relate to it because you never wanted the world to be know you because of your dad and you said the love parts because of me." Melody squeezed his hand a bit. "Here, I'll play it." Danny said and pulled it up on his YouTube.

"Melody, I want to know what you're dreaming about. Are they about beautiful things in your opinion, nightmares, another life you never had?" He asked and gently kissed her forehead. "I love you." He whispered to her ear as she squeezed his hand again. He leaned over and kissed her unmoveable lips. "I'm here for you." He whispered and sat back in his chair.

"I think Vince would come in here and talk to you, but you know his mother. I think that's the only reason why he hasn't come in here yet. I know he wants to though." He explained and Melody gave him a small squeeze in a response.

He awkwardly chuckled at a thought. "You missed it today, when they were fighting for the chicken nuggets, Ryan was acting like his was a dinosaur one. Then he would growl, 'Raw! R for rough, A for awesome, and W for wow!' You should've seen his facal expressions. He had the face of amusement throughout. I bet you next time he comes by, he'll tell you about it." Danny smiled as he told the story.

"We're going to read to the little kids soon." He said. "I remember when we were that little. Remember when Ryan refused to the thought of you being a girl. I remember I think we had a pissing contest and you didn't have a dick, so Ryan nearly cried. He is still an idiot." Danny laughed. "I couldn't imagine what he did when you started having woman issues." He added, chuckling.

"You were probably about ready to kill him, I bet. I couldn't imagine how you guys gave him crap when his voice changed." Danny remarked. Melody ran her thumb over his hand.  He brought her hand to his lips and gently kissed it.

"Ryan has been talking on how he and Elizabeth been fucking a lot. Like everyday, he comes in class with a smirk on his face and brags about how they did that. One day, it was so. bad in details that Vince had left the table. I can't help it, but I think of us. What it would be like to do those things. And this is probably the most inappropriate thing said to a person in a coma...but I think about us in that situation. Then I know that there are a shit ton better things in this world and relationship than sex." Danny explained. He sat in silence, other than the nurse station in the background.

"You mean the world to me. How can I move on if my world isn't living anymore?" Danny asked. Melody didn't move. She laid there, still and only breathing. Danny felt tears approach his blue eyes. "I wouldn't know where I would be if it wasn't for you." He began crying. "I hate hospitals. Too many bad shitty news have been given to me at hospitals." He took a deep breath. "Even if I barely remember, but I was a baby and I remember something of the lines of my dad not being in my life. I remember when my mum was in the hospital because of him hurting her and that we couldn't live where we were." He paused. "I-I remember being in the hospital for being beaten up by some high schooler because he thought that poor kids should be treated like that. I was only in sixth grade." He cried. "I'm afraid. Melody, I'm afraid for you." He whispered in tears.

"You're my true love." He admitted into her ear. "If you leave, I'll have no idea what I'll do, Melody." He kissed her forehead. "Goodbye, Melody. I love you. I'll be back soon. Don't worry." Danny whispered and dried off some of the leftover tears from his cheeks before leaving.
