Danny took a deep breath before entering the hospital room. "Hey MJ," Danny smiled as he saw her in a hospital gown as she paused Disasterology by Pierce the Veil. "Hi," Melody shyly spoke. "I feel like we're in preschool again. I remember meeting you. You had your-" "Spider-man bear and was hiding behind it. The teacher sent you over, so we could become friends." She stated, remembering the memory. "Yeah. I said, 'Hi Melody, I'm Danny William Rab.' So you remember that, huh?" She nodded. "Some memories are still with me. Not many, but I remember that one. They come back in dreams and day dreaming or so much looking at someone or thing or hearing something. If my dad so much calls me baby girl, I get memories like jumping in puddles from when I was little." Melody explained. "You seem so different." He thought out loud. "Is that a good thing?" She asked. "No, I mean- it's just that your voice tone is softer and not like a wall." Danny explained. "I feel like I can't have walls or else I won't remember anything. Doctors say to give it a month or so and I'll be back. The real me, not the one that doesn't remember shit." The last sentence made Danny smile and get closer to her. "What you just said, sounded a lot more like you." He remarked and sat in the seat next to her.

Melody smiled at him. "Danny, what was some of my favorite things of you? I'll take anything." Melody asked and took his hand. He thought. "You always liked it when I, uh, made you feel protected. Like I would wrap my arms around you." He answered and Melody remembered when they were taking pictures before prom and he did that. She closed her eyes and imagined the warmth. "You like how I never really forget anything." He added before thinking some more. "How I made you feel beautiful." He lightly chuckled at what came to his mind next. "You didn't like when I softly kissed you." He said. Melody hummed. "Show me how I liked to be kissed." She patted the hospital bed and he got on it. He scooted closer to her. "You didn't like this." He said and pecked her lips and cheek. "Okay." Melody replied. "You like it when I kiss you harder, like this." Danny said and kissed, her how she'd like it. Her hands, as if on instant, went to the nape of his neck and kissed him back. They got deeper into the kiss.

"Eh-hm." Someone cleared their throat loud enough for the teenagers to pull apart from their kiss instantly. Melody turned to see it was one of her nurses. "Well, we're supposed to take your blood pressure, but I'll make sure I'll say why it's higher." She said before wrapping the cuff on her arm. Danny blushed as the nurse shook her head at him. She wrote down the pressure and went to the door turning to them, "I know you're teenagers, but keep your hormones down. Melody needs more of remembering than anything else." She remarked before leaving the room.

"She's my favorite nurse." Melody said. "She reminds me of a female Ryan." Danny snorted. "Kinda," she replied. "Can I tell you something and you can't tell anyone?" She asked and Danny nodded. Melody leaded over to him, "I dreamt about my mom and big brother when I was in the coma." She whispered.

"What else did you did you dream about?" Danny asked and rubbed her knuckles. "Nothing else, I did hear voices from the outside of my dreams." She answered him. "Every one of them told me to be strong and to wake up." She explained. "Problem was that I didn't realize what I would be waking up to losing my memories. I guess no one realize that would happen. I feel like it's more frustrating for me than other people could imagine. Like, I couldn't recognize my own dad at first. Then, it took about five minutes, but I remembered. I hate it. I can barely remember what my room looks like or what were my favorite songs or my best friends." Tears started welling up in her hazel eyes.

Danny shushed her and wiped away her tears that streamed down her face. He brought her to his chest and kissed her head while stroking her back. "Shh, it'll all come back to you. I'm  here to help. I'm  here for you, no matter what. I love you." He sweetly spoke to her while starting to gently rock Melody. "I missed you." She whispered and gently took a hold onto his t-shirt. He rested his head on hers and let her take out emotions she had been hiding.

He was in her room for an hour and eventually laid down, with her head on his chest. Danny gently rubbed the sweet spot for her that was in between her shoulder blades. Danny felt as though he wasn't with his true MJ, but he knew she would come back to him. He saw a bit of the girl he knew in  her, but it would have to come out more.

Danny closed his eyes and began to hum. It was an older rhythm and lyrics, but it was meaningful to the both of them. The last slow song that played at prom, Melody slowly began to remember, the song 'Yellow' by Coldplay. "Prom night." She whispered to herself. "Yeah, yeah it was." He whispered in agreement. "Ryan was ready to fuck his girlfriend that night. We had just found out about her too." She added with laughter. That was more of the real Melody being reveled. He needed the real Melody back.
