"Are you sure about this..?" Felix asked hesitantly as he waited with Hyunjin in the car while Yeji said goodnight to Ryujin.
"I mean, it's not really up to me to decide, Pix. We said we would support her when it came to it... that time is now." The older shrugged.
Felix pursed his lips and nervously fidgeted with his fingers, something Hyunjin had learned to easily pick up on. He leaned up to the front and grabbed the younger's hand, massaging it lightly and instantly calming some of his boyfriend's nerves.
"Why are you so worried, love?" Hyunjin asked calmly, not wanting to add to the tension in the air.
Felix sighed and leaned his forehead against their joint hands. "You know how I feel about confrontation... and you know how Alice is..." He looked sadly at Yeji and Ryujin hugging outside. "... I don't want her to be told by others who she is." He pouted sympathetically.
Hyunjin smiled softly at the love of his life and cupped his face to lean in for a kiss, rubbing the freckles in admiration as he pulled away. "With someone like you in her corner.." He smiled "...I know she won't ever forget that she determines that." He kissed the younger again lovingly.
"Besides, you also know me. I'm not afraid to step in if I need to. We will protect her, Pixie. Together." Hyunjin announced with utmost confidence. "I have a couple tricks up my sleeve, don't worry. Trust me." He reassured with two kisses to Felix's knuckles.
The younger reached out and moved Hyunjin's hair out of his face before placing his hand on his cheek. "You're gonna be such a good dad one day.." He mused in admiration, the words and the way they were said sending butterflies through the older's stomach. He leaned into the touch with a content sigh, basking in the moment and the way Felix's face lit up at the mention of kids.
"Do you wa-" Hyunjin started but was stopped when the driver's side door opened and Yeji slid back in.
"What did I miss?" She looked between both of them.
"Nothing.." Hyunjin slipped out of Felix's hold and sat back against the seat, leaving the younger to look at him questioningly.
Yeji shrugged and started the car, heading in the direction of her parent's house.
"How did you want to break the news?" Hyunjin asked after some silence.
"Dinner tomorrow.." Yeji responded as she pursed her lips.
"Right..." the older Hwang mused doubtfully. "Uh, sorry for being a Debby downer... but how exactly did you want to tell them?" Hyunjin followed up with a hesitant tone. "I mean, winging it hasn't exactly worked out too well for me in the past, let alone keepi-"
Felix glared back at his boyfriend.
"What he means to say..." Felix took over in a more gentle tone. "How do you need us to support you?" He patted Yeji's thigh and tried to give her a reassuring smile.
"Uh.. I hadn't really thought of that.." she mumbled, now much more nervous than a minute ago. "It's just... it's time. I'm not gonna let Ryujin slip away again just because of what people may think." She declared more confidently.
Hyunjin smiled softly and cleared his throat to hide it. "Ok. Well then.. we will follow your lead."

"Psst.... Pix.." Hyunjin whispered into Felix's ear early the following morning.
The younger just groaned and swatted his hand behind him, successfully managing to hit his boyfriend, who hissed and moved backwards.
Felix shot his head up and looked over a Hyunjin in horror, covering his mouth with his hand and coddling the older, who pouted playfully.
"I'm sorry..." Felix apologized profusely in a whispered yell. "What are you doing here?" He asked frantically. Their previous plan of sneaking into the same room to sleep failed when Yeji moved to the dorms and her room was transformed into an office, meaning there was not enough privacy to risk it.
