Chapter 43

(A Few Minutes Later)

Ever since the battle between Y/N and Susano'o has started, the thunderstorms and raining have fully ceased from the torn-up open field as the ground violently shakes every now and then. Behind the half-submerged boulder, Neo sees Celica and Minerva sitting on the ground as Ruby's group are either leaning against the large stone or laying on the ground near them. Both Celica and Minerva soon take notice of Neo's presence.

Celica: "Oh hello, Neo."

Minerva: "..."

Neo: "..."

Celica: "What brings you here?"

Knowing that Celica doesn't understand sign language, Neo resorts to pointing at Ruby and the others.

Celica: "Huh? Oh, them! I manage to heal only half of them and they should wake up soon. But it's really taking a toll on me, given how many of them I have to heal."

Minerva: "..."

Neo: "..."

With a reassuring smile, Celica speaks further.

Celica: "Don't worry, you two. I'm alright. I'm just taking a little break and then I'll heal the rest of them. So, how's the others doing, Neo?"

The mute girl obviously doesn't want to tell her or Minerva that she, Roman, and the nightclub trio are currently restraining Naoto and his group as per Y/N's command. So, Neo just gives them a smile and a thumbs-up.

Neo: "..."

Celica: "So, they're doing fine. Phew, that's good to hear."

Minerva: "..."

Suddenly, the ground underneath them shakes a lot more intensely than the previous times. Wanting to head back to Roman and the others to see what's up, Neo waves Celica and Minerva goodbye before jogging away as Celica and her robot friend waves back at her.

Celica: "Bye, Neo!"

Minerva: "..."

A few moments later, Neo relink with Roman, the nightclub trio, and the still pinned down Naoto's group.

Roman: "So, how's it going over there?"

Through sign language, Neo explains to him everything that Celica has told her already.

Neo: "Red and her gang should wake up soon."

Roman: "Good. The sooner they wake up and fight, the better for us."

Upon hearing his comment, the nightclub trio quietly let out sighs of relief over this report. Naoto's group is also glad that Ruby's group is doing alright. Mostly because they can't wait for them to show up so they can help them get Roman's group off of them. Not only that, but to also deal with the now-crazed Y/N as well. The mute accomplice then asks Roman via sign language.

Neo: "So, did I miss anything?"

Before he responds, Roman awkwardly chuckles as he shifts his gaze away from and to the ongoing battle.

Roman: "Uhm, yeah, about that, Neo..."

Neo: "...?"

The mute girl follows the crime boss's gaze to discover the full powered Susano'o battering Y/N with his red and white blade and fists. Susano'o is giving him shallow and deep cuts all around him before he pushes him back with a mighty shockwave. Susano'o immediately flanks him before landing a meaty punch at his face. Once the punch made contact, a giant chain of fiery explosions launched Y/N away. Susano'o then lifted his free hand up, which prompted Y/N to propel upward in the air. Only for Susano'o to bring his hand down, which resulted in Y/N crashing down on the ground.
