Chapter 45

Roman's group and Naoto's group witness Y/N demolishing Ragna and the other fighters single handedly. Which led to them gazing at the red mushroom cloud swiftly swirling and morphing into this large tornado a good distance away from them. Because it almost looks like the surrounding sky is altering from its usual blue color to an almost red-like color. Turning his head a bit to face Roman's group, Naoto asks.

Naoto: "Don't tell me... after seeing all of that... not killing that god... toying with Rachel and the others... you're all still going to listen to that bastard?"

Junior: "Look, we're not having this discussion again."

Heart: "Why not?!"

Melanie & Miltia: "Because it's pointless, duh!"

Yumi: "None of you care about the lives he is currently tormenting?"

Roman: "Like we said, it's nothing personal. You and those other chumps over there have just been given the short end of the stick."

His mute accomplice nods in agreement as she feels a bit of resistance from Yumi, despite having her umbrella's hidden blade still pressed on her neck.

Neo: "..."

Heart: "W-What about us? What about Ruby and her group?"

The twins just scoff at her.

Melanie: "He doesn't care about you guys. You were just a means to an end."

Miltia: "The blonde bimbo's sister and her group are completely different story."

Melanie & Miltia: "Us included."

Naoto: "That's just unfair! Wrong!"

Junior: "Sorry, but we don't make the rules here... Y/N does."

Roman: "Whatever he says goes."

Naoto: "So, what, he's the new XX now!?"

This prompts Neo and the Malachite Twins to glare at him.

Neo: "..."

Miltia: "Oh please, he is nothing like that irritating voice."

Melanie: "He genuinely cares about us and the people from our world."

Yumi: "And yet doesn't have the same compassion for the rest of us?"

Heart: "Yeah! Miss System may have brought us all here against our will, but she cares about all of us in a way."

Junior: "That voice caring about us...? Now that's just crazy talk."

Outraged, Naoto begins to move his pinned down body a little to break free from Junior's grasp.

Naoto: "What's crazy is that you're siding with a bastard like Y/N who could blow up this world at any moment! At least XX didn't have any motive to do that!"

His attempt has ceased when Roman whacks his head with his cane as he responds.

Roman: "Hm, quit comparing two different people that have no similarities with one another."

Visibly upset by Naoto's remark, Neo decides to press her hidden blade even more on Yumi's neck, prompting it to draw a bit of blood out.

Neo: "..."

Yumi: "Ugh!"

Seeing this, Heart attempts to break free from the twins' grasp as she shouts her friend's name.

Heart: "Y-Yumi!"

Yumi: "D-Do not fret... I'll be fine."

Frustrated by Naoto's remark and Heart's struggling, the twins pin Heart down some more to ensure she doesn't keep moving.
