Allen's POV
"Christopher, have you seen Nava? We were supposed to go see the twins together but she disappeared. I've asked Magnus but he hasn't seen her either", Allen asked Christopher after waking up to an empty bed. There was no scent, there was nothing, it was like she just vanished. "I saw her heading towards the river on the south, maybe you should go check there", one of the ladies said. She had just entered the room with a broom and some cleaning stuff. He assumed it was one of Christopher's maids.
"Don't worry about it. Everyone likes to go there in the morning. There's a very nice sunrise if you get there early enough so maybe she heard from the ladies about it and decided to go there. It was like that in the old pack. We used to have a spot like that too. It's the reason why I called this the new Blue Valley Park", Christopher explained.
Even though it was supposed to make Allen feel better, it didn't. It gave him more worries. 'Magnus there's a river on the south side of the pack. I need you to meet me there. I don't like what I'm feeling. Something is wrong', he told Magnus through the mind link. 'You got it, Alpha. I'll meet you there', he confirmed.
He started running towards the south, and when he was getting closer he started hearing a voice so soothing, like a lullaby. It was somehow distracting that he had to mind link Magnus. 'Are you there yet?', 'Not yet Alpha. I'm 10 minutes out'. 'Stay where you are. There's something about this place. Stay put. I'll mind link you when I'm there'. 'I'm not letting you go there alone', Magnus replied with determination. 'Fine, find something to block your ears first', 'What? Why would I do that?'. 'Magnus I've never led you astray. If you want to come and help me, plug your ears... I mean it and if you call anyone, make sure they do the same' he commanded then dropped out of the mind link.
He started running faster when he heard someone choking, by the time he reached the river he saw Aella but she looked different. She resembled the glowing water and her eyes were blue. She had gills behind her ears and on the other side of the river Orion was struggling to breathe, like he was drowning but he was on dry land.
Allen struggled to make sense of what he was seeing but then everything fell in place. Aella was a siren so, it made sense that she went after the first people that hurt her human. What surprised him even more was her form, she had turned into a lycan siren hybrid. How could she remain lycan form and at the same time have gills? One could only be one form at a time, not both. He had never seen it before. "H-elp... please... help!", Orion kept struggling to talk but, the more he talked the more he suffocated.
'Aaah mate, it's nice to have you here. I was planning to tell you about this later but since you're already here... I have summoned my siren powers. Pretty exciting don't you think? I had no idea how to use it until this morning', Aella said with a calm voice, it was soothing that Allen had to shake his head a couple of times just to gain composure.
'Falkor can you block her powers?', 'Yes, I can. Dragons are immune to sirens but we're not immune to our feelings for her. She is our mate', 'Good just focus on that part, leave the rest to me. I'll try to rule Nava out and tell her to take back control. Conall, I might hurt Aella. I need you to understand, I'm not doing this intentionally. I cannot allow her to hurt anyone. You understand?' he asked his lycan.
Conall was struggling to answer but finally gave in. 'I understand, do what you must but don't hurt our Nava', 'You know I won't', he was brought back to reality when her hand touched his cheek. 'Mate, you're so strong... so handsome. I can barely focus right now, to think that I was supposed to have the power to draw you to me, you end up being the one drawing me to you', Aella said seductively. 'If I am then let him go. You promised that this was only going to be a conversation'. 'Yes, I did but I also said it would depend on which side they pick and according to him, he just said that he would stop me if I tried to kill the people who took my babies away. I cannot have that so, he has to die', 'Please let him go Aella', Allen said almost giving in to using his Alpha command when he saw Orion starting to look weak.
'I don't think so besides, I think it's time for me to summon the other twin and see what he says', she said then kicked Allen on the stomach. It sent him flying back, and by the time he reached the ground, he started hearing another song. It made him furrow his brows because he was recovering from the unexpected blow. He heard paws heading his way. He couldn't tell who it was until a few seconds later when a huge werewolf appeared and diverted towards Aella. Judging by the size and aura he knew it was Hector's wolf.
He stood up and stretched. 'She sure does pack a punch', Falkor said making Allen smirk. He started running towards Hector, he was faster so it was easy to catch up with him. He saw Hector bowing his head in front of Aella. She ran her hand from his head to tail then smiled. "Good boy... Transform!", she said using an Alpha Command. It looked like Hector was struggling to go against it but ended up giving in and transforming into his human form.
"Who are you?", he kept asking but instead of answering Aella just smiled. Her smile was deadly but it got the point across. Her eyes changed to reflect those of Nava, she attempted to show Hector who she was. "This is impossible. Nava doesn't have a werewolf nor does she have gills", he said with shock. Her eyes turned back to ice blue, something in them resembled the water, and all of a sudden Hector started coughing out water over and over and finally started to have trouble breathing.
'Talking is not going to work with her Allen. You need to change', Falkor advised. 'No, I will fight her in my human form', 'Are you sure?', his dragon asked obviously looking worried. 'Yes, I can take her as I am. I just need a little bit of strength from you', he said then started to run towards her. The moment he closer to her, he tried to sneak up from behind but was surprised when her hand reached his throat and held him in place.
She smashed him on the ground and looked at him in the eyes. 'Are you happy mate? Are you proud of your failure? This is me trying to make up for the mistakes you made. For the weakness you've shown. When Nava needed you to help her, to save her and her babies you failed, to get rid of the people but wanted to kill her you spared them. This stupidity wouldn't have happened, this loss wouldn't have been experienced, and her heart wouldn't have been broken if you had killed these mutts the same day you killed their father so, I'm going to ask you one last time. Stay out of this for your own sake', she mindlinked then threw him away for the second time.
This time around, she threw him even further away but he ended up crashing into Magnus and they both fell to the ground. 'What the hell is going on?', he asked. 'Aella has turned into a lycan siren hybrid. She wants to kill Hector and Orion. I know Nava wouldn't allow this, we have to stop her. The only thing we need to do is knock her out', he said with a smirk making Magnus nod. 'Just like the old days' Magnus said with a smile on his face making Allen smile back. 'Yes like the old days'.
