Facing Reality

When Nava opened her eyes, she found herself in a room she didn't recognise. It was wooden but modern. She felt thirsty and wanted to find something to drink. She woke up and sat on the bed, she looked around but couldn't find anything.

She stood up and approached the door hoping to see a familiar face.

"Allen? Ares? Is it really you?", she asked the moment she found them sitting in what looked like a living room. They turned to her and their eyes were wide as saucers. Allen stood up and approached her. He hugged her tightly making her hug him back and it felt good enough to make her hum and sniff him. She was finally feeling him.

"How are you feeling?", she heard someone ask her making her pull away from Allen's embrace. She turned and saw a woman with white hair. "Hello, I'm Phoebe... Philomena's sister", she said then offered her hand to Nava and Nava accepted. "Thank you... for everything", she said and a tear fell from her face. Phoebe looked at her and pulled her in a hug. It was random and out of nowhere but Nava embraced it.

"Nava...", Ares said then pulled her in a hug too. "You're here", was all she said then started crying. She did it for a while and was happy when no one interrupted it.

Ares and Sophia were her family for the longest time and seeing Ares there made her feel the family connection that she was missing ever since she moved to Allen's world.

"I missed you. I missed us", Nava said as Ares pulled her to sit on the couch. He held her hands even though they never had such a connection before. It felt right, she needed a family and he showed up when it really mattered. Like he did when he found her and Sophia in the rogue territory. "Nava, I miss you too. You have come a long way and I'm proud of you", he said to her. "Even though I killed people?", she asked feeling like something was choking her. "Nava, that wasn't you. Don't do that to yourself... please. Aella was just trying to protect you. Yes, her way of doing it is not right but that's not on you", he said making her nod.

Phoebe made dinner and they ate together. There was something about it all that made her feel calm.

Allen was quiet the whole time and it made Nava nervous but she waited until they were in the room, she woke up in, to point that out. "Allen, is everything ok?", she asked Allen when she found him sitting on the bed. It startled him, which was also rare. "Yes... I'm sorry... for everything", he said then stood up and pulled her in a hug. She hugged him back.

They stayed that way for a while.

She pulled back and looked into his eyes then his lips and smiled. He leaned in and kissed her. His lips felt warm and right, it made Nava go on her tiptoes, meeting him halfway. Their mouths massaged each other and finally the tongues. It made her wet with need.

He started removing her clothes and she did the same. She felt the mattress on her back making her pull back and look into his eyes. His eyes were glowing and it reminded her of the day he knocked on her door at the House of Aphrodite. He started sucking her neck and it sent jolts of electricity across her body making her get even more wet.

"Make love to me", she said and he just looked at her and smiled.

She felt his member penetrating her and it was foreign but right making her moan over and over again as he thrusted in and out of her. "I'm gonna cum!", she screamed as her walls caved in and she gave in her high. He didn't stop moving and kept eye contact with Nava but it only lasted a few seconds because he reached his high right when she did the second time.

When he pulled out of her he pulled her to his chest and Nava made sure her ear settled on top of his heart so she could hear his heartbeat. "Do you think they will accept me as the Queen after what happened?", she asked Allen. "Of course, they will Nava. You're their Queen and even if they don't, I will leave it all behind for you. I'm not losing you, Nava, never!", he said making her look at him and earning a kiss on the forehead. "You would leave the crown for me?", she asked because it surprised her.

One thing that she learned from the twins was that the crown was more important than anything else. Hearing Allen say what he did made her feel loved. It made her emotional that she started crying without knowing that she was. She felt his finger wiping away a tear. "I'm sorry, I got emotional. After what happened with the twins, I never thought that anyone would choose me over the crown. You coming from royal blood made me assume that you will take the crown's side because that's your priority", she said making him pull her in a kiss. It was a passionate kiss that made her toes curl.

"Nava, you're my second chance mate and I'm not going to let anyone take you away from me, not after everything we've just been through", he said making her smile. "I love you Allen and Falkor and Conall", she said then kissed him.

"It's good to see you my Queen", Magnus said when Nava walked into the living room. It was a calm morning even though she woke up and found herself alone in bed. After the night she just had with Allen, she felt even more connected to him. But she couldn't get past the feeling of wanting to know what exactly happened because she could only recall parts that Aella allowed her to see a glimpse of, most of the time she was blocked out.

"I'm happy to see you too Magnus", she said with a nervous smile. "Do you remember anything?", he asked and before I could answer Allen interfered, and by the sound of his voice, he was angry. "Magnus, we haven't talked about any of it, she needs to be eased into it". "My apologies Your Majesty", he said then bowed. "Is the convoy ready?", he asked keeping the same tone he used before. "Yes, Your Majesty, we're ready whenever you are", Magnus said in a formal way that made Nava feel guilty. He was always cheerful around her and for Allen to shut her down like that made her feel bad.

"Phoebe, thank you very much for everything. I really wish that we met under better circumstances", Nava told Phoebe as she was walking them outside her house one that Nava was surprised to see looked older on the outside. "How about this? I visit you in the Royal Pack when I have time and we will catch up on everything, including Allen's stories from his youth age... which are alooot", she said making Nava chuckle. "Don't you dare", they heard Allen say from behind them which made Nava laugh.

She waved as they drove away from Phoebe's house then settled with snuggling on Allen's side. She fell asleep right after.

"Welcome back my Queen", Rhonesha said the moment Nava walked into her home. "Thank you, Rhonesha, how's the store?", she asked trying to be normal. "It's going well my Queen, everyone misses you", she said making Nava smile. "I need to rest for some time then I'll come see you at the store. Thank you for holding everything together", Nava said then pulled her in a hug which made her gasp. She pulled back and then went to their bedroom clearly aware that Allen was standing on the side watching her.

"I have to go to meet the council, will you be, ok?", Allen asked her when they walked into their bedroom. "Yes, but I need you to tell me everything that happened, I keep having these flashbacks and I can't pretend that it doesn't bother me", she said and watched as his face got filled with guilt. "My love, it's not that I don't want to tell you... I don't think you'll be able to get past it and I hate hiding things from you but I know you won't stop feeling guilty", he said with honesty in his eyes but Nava didn't care, she wanted to know the truth.
