As they continue down the winding road, the world around them fades into the background, leaving just the two of them in their shared silence. The only sound is the steady hum of the engine, the gentle rush of the wind through the open window, and the rhythmic beating of their hearts.
She watches him, her gaze tender, as if he's the only person that exists. There's something about the way his jaw tightens when he's deep in thought, the way his brow furrows ever so slightly, that makes her heart ache with affection. His thumb continues its gentle caress over her hand, a gesture so simple yet filled with unspoken words. Without thinking, she lifts his hand to her lips, pressing a soft kiss to his knuckles. Her touch lingers as if she's savoring the feel of him against her.
His breath hitches at the contact, the warmth of her lips sending a surge of electricity through him. Her eyes meet his, and for a moment, the intensity of their connection is almost too much to bear. The road ahead blurs as he loses himself in her gaze. The faint smile playing on her lips is like a secret only they share, a promise of something deeper, something more.
"Where are we going?" she asks quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. She notices the road veering off, no longer leading toward her house but to an unknown destination.
"It's a surprise," he replies, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. There's a hint of mischief in his eyes as he glances at her. "I'm going to speed up a little, okay?" His voice drops a notch, taking on a husky quality that makes her pulse quicken. She nods, trusting him completely, her heart racing in anticipation.
For a moment, the air between them thickens, charged with a tension that has been building for too long. His words echo in her mind, the way he spoke with such conviction, such intensity. "You know," he begins, his tone heavy with emotion, "when you're with me, I feel this need to protect you. I don't care what happens to me, but I can't let anything happen to you." His grip on her hand tightens, the weight of his promise settling in the air.
She's silent, her heart swelling with emotions too big to name. She can feel the sincerity in his words, the depth of his feelings for her. It's overwhelming, this love she has for him, a love that consumes her whole.

As they pull up to a secluded beach, the sound of waves crashing against the shore fills the air. The car stops, and she looks out, seeing the soft glow of lights in the distance, a small setup waiting just for them. Yellow lights twinkle like stars against the dark night, curtains billowing gently in the breeze. Her breath catches in her throat as she steps out of the car, her eyes wide with wonder.
"Zayn..." she breathes, her voice trailing off as she takes in the sight before her. She turns to him, her heart full, and he meets her gaze with an intensity that makes her knees weak.
"It's been too long since we've had a moment like this," he murmurs, his voice low and rough with emotion. "I've missed it, missed you."
Her heart flutters at his words, and she can't help but run towards the setup, laughing with a joy that bubbles up from deep within her. "A night on the beach," she whispers to herself, feeling warmth spread through her chest.
"One of your biggest wishes, right?" he says, following her at a slower pace, his eyes never leaving her.
"Yes," she replies, her voice light, as if afraid speaking too loud might break the spell. She turns back to him, seeing him standing there, leaning against the car, his thoughts clearly elsewhere. There's something in his expression, something so raw and vulnerable, that it brings tears to her eyes.
"Zaynnnn, come on!" she calls out, already wading into the shallow water, her feet sinking into the cool sand. He snaps out of his reverie, watching her with a soft chuckle, her playful energy contagious.
