A song for the chapter: I Bet on Losing Dogs - Mitski
"What are we going to do now?"
Salazar's locket lay on the table in front of Elwia, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, their faces painted with doubt and uncertainty.
"Any word from Mattheo?" Harry asked, crossed his hands, and let out a frustrated sigh.
"This morning he asked if we were okay. He had probably heard about the attack at the wedding." Elwia answered, running her fingers through her dark hair.
"Okay, so he's not really helping us at all." Harry scoffed and began pacing around the room.
"Harry, just because he's his son, doesn't mean he knows everything. Mattheo swore to help us, and he will to his best capability." Elwia said, trying her best not to let her irritation show.
"Maybe the best thing for now is that we try to rest for a few days and form some sort of a plan on how we could find these Horcruxes and destroy them." Hermione stated calmly. "I have some books with me that could help."
"Sounds good to me." Ron nodded his head.
Elwia mumbled something incoherent with a tight-lipped smile and was about to walk out of the kitchen when she heard a sound coming from the pantry.
"Who's there?" Elwia took out her wand and glanced at the others behind her. She then opened the door, only to reveal Kreacher hiding there.
"Are you spying on us?" Harry asked, angered.
"Harry! Calm down; it's just Kreacher." Elwia raised her voice, annoyed by her brother's short temper.
"Kreacher has been watching, yes. But Kreacher has no means to hurt Mistress Elwia." The house-elf muttered to himself, looking down at the floor and then around him.
"I know, Kreacher. Could you make us some food, please?" Elwia sighed.
Kreacher nodded his head and walked further into the kitchen, scowling and cursing under his breath when he passed Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

Days passed one after another, and no word came from Mattheo or anyone else. They were on their own. Until somewhere in the end of August, or maybe already the beginning of September (it was hard to keep track of time when all the days felt the same as the day before), Elwia formed a plan, or more like a concept of a plan. And it was thanks to Mattheo Riddle.
Horcrux at Hogwarts I'm still there, said the message in the fake galleon.
"Okay, so, hear me out. What if we ask Mattheo to get a basilisk fang from the Chamber of Secrets and have him find the Horcrux and destroy it?" Elwia suggested with a grin and nodded her head as if her plan was the greatest thing ever.
The others didn't look as enthusiastic, only imagining all the things that could go wrong. It was understandable; Elwia's idea wasn't the best, but nevertheless, it was the only plan they had at that moment.
"What if Mattheo gets caught? He'll get killed, and now everyone will know what we're after." Hermione frowned, biting the inside of her lower lip.
"I'm sorry, but do we have anything better to do? We've been stuck here for a month, maybe more, and we still have no plan." Elwia said apologetically and fiddled with the locket around her neck.
"Is there any way we could have Mattheo acquire a basilisk fang and send it to us so we'll have something to destroy Horcruxes with? That'll be a start. And now that we know there's one in Hogwarts, perhaps when we're done with the others, we can go there to destroy it and protect our friends if a battle breaks out." Ron slowly spoke up, which lit up everyone's faces.
