A song for the chapter: Paris, Texas (feat. SYML) - Lana Del Rey, SYML

Elwia cried the whole night, not getting a minute of sleep. Well, she didn't even try to sleep, for she knew it would never come. She then decided to go to the shower but not one of the burning ones she often had. Instead, Elwia placed it at the temperature Draco always used, which was cold, but not even close to the coldness of the ocean.

Although Elwia was glad that she had finally gotten her revenge on Miles, she still couldn't help but feel guilty. Had she done the right thing? Surely, it had simply been self-defence. But now, Elwia had killed someone, and she hoped no one would find out it had been her.

"Elwia, you're back." Pansy yawned as she sat up in her bed.

"Oh, yes. I came at night, but I tried to be quiet." Elwia answered, brushing her hair as she looked at herself in the mirror.

"Are you okay, Wia?" Astoria frowned.

Elwia gulped, staring at her hollow green eyes that no longer had a spark in them.

"Draco is gone."

"Gone? What do you mean?" Pansy asked, alarmed.

"He finished the task. He brought the Death Eaters to Hogwarts, and then Snape killed Dumbledore, although Draco was originally supposed to do it. Harry and I followed them to the school grounds, and then I saw Draco outside the Hogwarts border with Bellatrix. We were able to look at each other only for a split second before he apparated." Elwia answered monotonously.

"I'm sorry, Wia." Astoria breathed out, and then she and Pansy wrapped their hands around Elwia, hugging her tightly.

"We love you, star." Pansy whispered.

"I love you too, sun and moon." Elwia smiled a little.

No funeral was held for Miles Bletchley, but he was mentioned by McGonagall in the speech before breakfast. Supposedly he had been murdered by one of the Death Eaters who had broken into Hogwarts.

But instead, the one held for Albus Dumbledore was the biggest one Elwia had ever seen, though she only had one funeral to compare it to. It seemed like everyone was there, even the centaurs and the merpeople, followed by Ministry of Magic officials, staff and students of Hogwarts, residents of Hogsmeade, and the Order of the Phoenix.

There was a scary-looking man from the Order Elwia had never seen in her life, one with an electric blue fake eye and a face full of scars. When she asked Remus about it, she learnt it to be Mad-Eye Moody, which was a very fitting name. Elwia also saw Sirius hugging a beautiful young woman with vivid pink hair, Nymphadora Tonks, his cousin Andromeda's daughter.

Elwia stood beside Sirius and Remus, holding hands with Harry as people walked up to the front and gave their regards to Dumbledore, talking about shared memories and all the achievements he had done throughout his life. Elwia herself had never exactly cared much for Dumbledore, but she still had to admit that the funeral was beautiful. She had shed a few tears but not for the reason the others thought it was.

When Elwia had left the funeral, she swore she could have seen Dumbledore standing in the huge crowd of people, but it was probably her eyes playing tricks on her.

Back at the castle, Remus, Sirius, and McGonagall pulled Elwia and Harry for a chat in Dumbledore's office.

"There's something we need to talk about with you two, more specifically Elwia." Remus began speaking in a slow voice, glancing at Sirius.

"Well, as you are still underage and have the mark, we thought it better that you go live with the Dursleys alongside Harry until you two turn 17." Remus sighed apologetically. Elwia's eyes widened, partially from shock but from joy as well. "I mean, I'm happy to keep Harry company, but why now?" She asked.
