A song for the chapter: Champagne Coast - Blood Orange
The three girls were all standing in front of the mirror, all of them in shock by their beauty and grace. They looked like princesses with their long and fancy dresses, sparkly jewellery, and beautifully done hair.
Pansy was wearing an emerald green silk gown with small embroidery in the chest area. The dress created for Pansy a slim silhouette, and the fabric shone in an illuminating way. In her hands she had black opera gloves, and around her neck a beautiful golden necklace. Pansy's hair was still too short for any hairstyles, which was why she had simply curled her hair into beach waves. Heels were a big no for Pansy because of comfort and her already tall height, so she had chosen to wear black flats since no one could even see them under her dress.
Astoria was wearing a ruffled rose pink dress with a beaded halter neckline where the straps on the dress were made from pearls and small diamonds. The dress was flattering around the waist area. Around Astoria's neck was a pearl necklace with a pink gem pendant in the middle. She also had opera gloves on, only hers were white since they looked better with the pink dress. Astoria had her hair half tied into a fishtail braid and the rest of her hair flowed curly and beautiful. The braid had silver, sparkly hairpins in it. Astoria had decided to wear small white heels that made her about 5 centimetres taller.
Elwia couldn't believe her eyes when she looked at herself through the mirror. She had no idea it was even possible for her to look so lovely, she had never felt as confident before. The only problem was that her heart was aching for Lily and Apolline; she wished her mothers could see her right then.
The pale blue dress looked almost glowing against Elwia's pale complexion, fitting perfectly with her cherry red hair. The dress had a fitted corset filled with rich silver diamond embroidery that led to a gathered skirt flowing down gracefully. The skirt had a unique design of being half up, half down, where the upper portion of the skirt was tucked in, and the inner part of the skirt that flowed freely was a darker colour of blue. Elwia had a four-row pearl necklace with a blue diamond in the middle that had another smaller diamond hanging from it, and in her ears she had white diamond earrings. Her cherry red hair was in a loose updo, and the front strands were curled. Elwia also didn't bother with wearing heels, so she had decided to wear white ballerina flats.
"I feel like a princess." Elwia laughed excitedly while pulling white opera gloves into her hands.
"Adrian will fall in love with me all over again." Astoria sighed with happiness and made a few twirls that made her dress flow around gracefully.
"Irie told me she's wearing a dark red dress. I guess she's really showing her Gryffindor colours beside my Slytherin ones." Pansy chuckled.
"Should we go? I can't wait to see everyone's reactions." Elwia asked, her voice giggly and energetic.
Elwia opened the dorm door and stepped outside; her stomach was flying with butterflies. Getting ready with Astoria and Pansy had made her forget all about her cunt boyfriend. Luckily, today was the day Elwia was going to get rid of him for good.
"Adrian!" Astoria shrieked and ran to hug the brown-haired boy.
"You're the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, Tori." Adrian marvelled and kissed Astoria carefully, trying not to mess up her lipstick.
Elwia smiled at the sight and quickly realised how blinded she had been by Miles' lies. How could she think the way Miles treated her had been love when the real epitome of pure love had been in front of her this whole time?
