Tw: Blood, violence, major character death

A song for the chapter: Way down We Go - KALEO

"So, what now?"

Elwia, Harry, Hermione, and Ron stood in the hallway, formed in a circle, plotting how to proceed next.

"So, we were thinking—well, Ron was thinking—and it was brilliant, really. We don't have anything to destroy the Horcruxes with as of right now, so Ron suggested that we go to the Chamber of Secrets to get a basilisk fang." Hermione explained with a smile, glancing at Ron every now and then.

"Great, but how will you open it?" Elwia asked and raised an eyebrow curiously.

"I've heard Harry talk in his sleep enough for me to have learnt a few words in Parseltongue." Ron smirked.

"Okay, good. Take this so you'll find us once you're done. We'll be in the Room of Requirement, but still, just in case." Harry nodded and handed Ron the Marauder's Map.

"Take this as well. Good luck." Elwia said with a tight-lipped smile as she gave Hufflepuff's cup to Hermione.

After the two had gone towards the location of the second-floor girls' lavatory, Elwia was left standing alone with her brother in a silence that would soon no longer be. Her heart was beating out of her chest, and it was truly a surprise that she even managed to stay standing.

"Ready?" Harry asked and looked at Elwia sympathetically, almost as if he was sensing what her thoughts were about. It was as if he knew what was to happen.

"Yes." Elwia answered, a heavy sigh coming out of her mouth afterward. And with their wands in hand, the twins began heading to the Room of Requirement.

As they stood in the cluttered room, memories made their way back to Elwia's mind—memories of her and Draco, in a time that now felt so long ago. She'd have to find him immediately after destroying the Horcrux.

"I can feel it calling for me." Elwia whispered with her eyes closed while walking around the room and holding Harry's arm for guidance.

"Let it come to you." Harry spoke in a quiet voice, and as if on cue, images appeared in Elwia's mind: a silver diadem with blue diamonds, hidden in a small box somewhere in the room.

Finding the location of Ravenclaw's diadem was like a sick game of hot and cold. The Horcrux whispered, "Colder, warmer, colder..." every now and then, or maybe, it was simply Elwia's last nerves playing tricks on her.

"Wait, I hear it too." Harry murmured and looked around him.

Elwia walked over to a table that had a relatively small box on it with a few items on top of it as a pathetic attempt to hide it from sight. She grabbed the box in her hands and opened it, revealing the beautiful diadem in sight.

But before either of them could do anything else (other than admire the cursed object), there came the sound of someone entering the room and accidentally dropping some items on the floor.

"Hide. I'll see who it is." Harry said and pushed Elwia behind him.

"Harry, I can defend myself." Elwia rolled her eyes but, nevertheless, did as her brother had asked her to do and hid herself behind a huge pile.

"What are you doing here, Malfoy?" Harry called out, making Elwia's heart skip a beat.

Draco wasn't alone, which was why she decided to stay hidden, in case whoever he was with turned aggressive. By staying where she was, she'd hold the benefit of a surprise attack.

"I might ask you the same." Draco stated, holding a small pause before his next words.

"Is she with you?"
