Tw: Mention of Sexual Assault
A song for the chapter - No One Noticed - The Marias
It was the second dream in a row where Elwia had seen her mother dying. The day was coming closer; Elwia could feel it. There was a dark storm cloud looming over her, a bad feeling that she couldn't brush off.
Elwia was in the library scribbling a letter to Uncle Moony, Sirius, and to warn the rest of the Order. She didn't exactly know what to say; how do you tell someone that you might have seer powers? Especially with them being so rare nowadays.
Dear Moony and Padfoot,
I have a very urgent and serious matter I need you to help me with. You need to believe me, and I know it's going to be hard.
I have reason to suspect that I might have seer powers. Three times already, I have dreamed of a death eater named Bella killing my mother with a man named Rodolphus. It's not like anything I've seen before—it felt so real, and I fear it might be the future.
You have to believe me and keep a close eye on my mother. Moony, you apologised to me in the dream for not believing my seer powers. This is real; I know it.
Please. I can't lose another mother. I also miss you and Sirius a lot, and I hope to see you again.
With love,
Eden
The red-headed girl read over the letter a few times, making sure she had mentioned everything important. After sealing the letter with wax, Elwia began walking towards the owlery, which was about a 25-minute walk. Why was the owlery so damn far away?
"I missed you, Mitski. It's a shame I have to keep you here, but you're so loud at night that I can't really sleep with you." Elwia mumbled as she was tying the letter to Mitski's leg. The owl let out a small screech.
"Are you seriously talking to your owl?" A voice spat out, a familiar one at that. The voice of the boy that had made Elwia feel the lowest she had ever felt.
It was Taylors, the seventh-year Slytherin, who had assaulted her. Although he did not remember that happening since Draco obliviated him. All Taylors knew was that he accidentally got a concussion.
Luckily, Elwia hadn't seen him after that, but the day will always come when your luck runs out.
"Taylors." The girl muttered, not taking her eyes off of Mitski, who was now flying in the clear January sky.
"Having fun in the Quidditch team?" Taylors asked, which Elwia merely nodded to, not daring to look at his face in fear of the memories coming back.
"Hmh, I guess you were good. I heard you scored a bunch back in December; I wasn't in the mood to come watch." The boy huffed.
Elwia gathered all her powers and turned around, now facing the boy who assaulted her, had made her feel dirty, and had made her scrub her neck until a rash appeared. A boy who had violated her.
"Thanks." Elwia nodded and walked past the boy, immediately running down the stairs after she was no longer in view for Taylors to see. It was getting hard to breathe.
The non-existent walls were inching closer, causing Elwia to feel panicked. She was outside in the snowy school grounds, yet still it was too small. There wasn't enough space. Elwia's ears were ringing; she couldn't even hear her footsteps against the hard, crunchy snow. Tears were beginning to form in the girl's eyes, and she could feel her heart beating out of her chest.
A panic attack.
"Breathe, breathe, breathe." Elwia mumbled to herself, her legs stumbling as she ran towards the castle.
