The gender

The next morning Lucy woke up, she felt even more anxious than she did last night. She forced herself out of bed. Lucy threw her hair into a messy bun and got changed into leggings and Tim's metro hoodie. She knew she shouldn't wear it but all of other clothes were too small now. She went into the kitchen.

"Morning Ange," Lucy tried to seem happy.

"Morning Luce... what r u wearing?" Angela was not impressed.

"Ange nothing else fits apart from this and what I wore yesterday."

"Lucy he treated u like absolute dog crap yesterday and ur now wearing his hoodie!" Angela shouted.

"Don't u start shouting at me u stupid cow!" Lucy screamed back.

"Get out my house right now!" Angela was completely serious.

Lucy screamed at Angela calling her every name she could think of. She was already on edge and Angela's comment really topped it. Lucy chucked her shoes on, grabbed a coat and her keys. She made sure to slam to door to piss Angela off even more.

Lucy wasn't sure where to go, Bailey and John weren't supposed to be getting her for another half an hour. She decided to call them.

On the phone:

L- hello
J- hi Lucy it's John, is everything ok?
L- um not really..
J- Lucy what's happened?
L- Angela's just screamed at me to get out the house so I don't really know where to go till u pick me up.
J- we will come now, where are u?
L- just at the end of the road.
J- see u in 5.

Lucy was struggling to stay standing, her feet were so sore and she felt like she could just collapse. She found a lamp post to lean against. Soon enough John and Bailey arrived and pulled up next to Lucy. She got into the back of the truck.

"Luce what happened?" Bailey asked concerned.

"I'm wearing Tim's hoodie and Angela's mad about it because Tim was an ass yesterday."

"Is that is?" Bailey knew there was more to the story.

"I called her literally every name under the sun..."

"That was a little bit silly Lu, why did u do that?"

"I don't know, I was already pissed off."

"What are u going to do later?" John asked.

"Haven't really thought about that, I'm hoping it will all just blow over."

"Do u think it will?" He questioned.

"She was so angry so I'm not too sure."

They arrived at the hospital, Lucy was so nervous she prayed the baby would be ok. They went up to the maternity floor and waited to be called. It felt like hours.

"Lucy Chen." The nurse called.

The three of them stood up and followed the nurse into a room. Lucy laid down on the bed and Bailey and John sat on chairs beside the bed.

"Who do we have with u then Lucy?" The nurse smiled.

"My friend John and Bailey, they are going to be taking custody of the baby."

"That's lovely, so are we finding the gender out today?" The nurse asked.

Lucy looked at Bailey and John hinted at them to decide.

"Yes please," Bailey replied.

"Okey dokie then."

The nurse began the ultra sound.

"Ok so we are just checking baby is all healthy, baby seems really big."

"Is that a good or bad thing?" Lucy asked worried.
